Five Top 10 teams, two Top 15 teams, two Top 18 teams and a team that lost to FIU.

Say what you want about our talent. Every time a list comes out like this, we stick out like a sore thumb.

We need to start playing to our talent. That will make everything else much easier, including recruiting.

Osborn and Thomas were key pillars of a horrendous WR group...so yeah. We sucked at QB, OL and WR and those happen to be 3 of the most important position groups in football.

Completely agree, we constantly under achieve with the talent we do have. Fix that issue and everything elevates itself.

We've always got numbers - our problem is we lack top talent.

Looks like none of our guys our in the Top 150 according to the nfl.com ratings right now - so hopefully they show out & get a boost from the combine.

An NFL player is a top college talent.

We need more of the elite players to compete with Alabama and Clemson. Not the Coastal.

Levonta Taylor was the #1 ranked CB in the 2016 class, he had a 99.6 rating & was #7 ranked player in the nation.

Could be one of the biggest busts in recent memory at CB, his 4 years at FSU, he had a total of 4INT's & 10 PBU's.

Stars matter, but so does coaching, development & evals, equally.

No question we have the best talent as a whole in the Coastal and have underachieved. It's frustrating.

But in terms of producing 1st/2nd Round talent the last 10 years - we're not really different than UNC, VT, Pitt, etc.

In general - 4th/5th Rounders are closer in talent to a college starter that doesn't make the NFL than they are to a 1st/2nd Rounder. So looking at just the overall number of players drafted can be deceiving when gauging the talent gap.

While 8 is a good number for a 6-7 season think about the guys who should have 100% returned to school to increase their draft spot - Bandy, Garvin for sure. You could easily make the case for Jeff too but I think he was pushed out. Anyway, the talent is there to win the coastal for some and compete in the ACC.

Ed Reed said it at his press conference..... nine kids aren't going to win games for you by themselves - it's the kids in the middle who win and lose games for you.

Miami will always have a few kids that go to the NFL. Most kids at Miami don't. And it's the non-NFL kids that decide if you win or lose games.

At a place like Wisconsin, the kids who aren't going to the NFL are tough and they play hard. They love football and pride themselves in it.

At a place like Miami, the kids who aren't going to the NFL - they're soft and they roll over as soon as adversity hits.

Maybe just maybe we need better coaches that can develop this raw talent. Hmmmm

Why is this NFL combine invite list a badge of honor for you guys? Everyone of the invitees is a fringe NFL player. Not bashing them, loved them all while they played for UM. Hope they get drafted and go on to great NFL careers but none of these guys are probably even sniffing day 2 of the draft.
