Gonna call BS on that one. I wouldn't doubt that she and a few others were/are on board for a 35-45k stadium w/Beckham because that's about how many fans consistently show up to UM games. No one is willfully leaving the ACC, but I wouldn't be surprised if the ACC decides to kick us out many years down the line. We're not a top notch academic university and not holding up our part in terms of football success. At this point we serve no purpose to the ACC other than collecting checks.

You are forgetting that this is a basketball conference first. We are holding our ground in that department and even carried the ACC banner in the tournament, so I don't foresee that happening.

Why would FSU leave?

They make a ton of money, have little competition and they can easily make the NC game (almost did it again this year). Sounds like a no-brainer.

Side note, there is that huge penalty to leave the conference.

If FSU wasnt the returning champs this year, they would have been left out of the final four playoff while being the only undefeated team. Think about that.

FSU is a football school. I can foresee FSU and Vandy swapping conferences down the line.

ACC has all broadcast rights to all the schools now. They did that last year to prevent anymore departures. The $$ penalty didn't stop Maryland from taking off so they just about made it impossible now. You go to new conference without rights to TV! Nobody is leaving. We can only hope ACC threatens Miami with kicking them out if they don't shape up and deliver as promised.

Why is anyone even talking to them about season tickets? We need to starve and embarrass them as much as possible. They will never get one more cent of my money until we have a real president who recognizes the value of the football program and the brand it built and owns. My first grandchild would be starting at Miami this year, now she is not. My trust will no longer pay for education there.
