New RB Options

Brown had his chance last ***** night! He was told yesterday by McFarland he wasn't coming around 6pm. From then on you make your move Call Bryan, call White Mike, call Davis, call whoever you had as a backup and get them to OV there instead of Iowa or whatever farm country places they were going. Instead he probably sat at his desk watched all 2+ hours of that video and thought maybe it would change.

We have been in touch with Kyshaun Bryan #33 RB in the country, local, but had offseason surgery so there are questions, why if you knew at 6pm yesterday, is this kid going to middle of nowhere in the midwest. Now we are trying to get him to come Sunday night off the plane on an unofficial visit right before the dead period, and 3 days before NSD. FAN ***** TASTIC!

To be our 4th or 5th option at rb next year..meaning he's not a critical need. So why are you stressing out like it's essential to add this kid?

Because 4-5th is what we need. Are you okay with an injury or 2 putting a player that hasn't played much in 2 years in your rotation(Burns)? Is Choc even cleared to play? When will he resume contact? So let's say Choc isn't cleared, you now have Burns as your 3rd RB, but if he is still injured then you have 2. Now what?

Are you OK with tying up a valuable scholarship for 4 years just to have insurance in case the 4 guys ahead of this kid go down? Chances of that scenario playing out are small AND you have guys like DJ Dallas and CJ Henderson that we can press into duty if things really become desperate. Would you rather us use the scholarship on a 4th or 5th string RB this year or have it available to use on a kid in what is an absolutely loaded 2018 class?

So Henderson hasn't played RB in 2 years, Deejay hasn't played RB(running QB so he can figure it out), and just throwing someone in there as a band aid and pulling our 2 best secondary guys to play RB isn't smart. We were going after 2 RB this, we should have had a backup plan to take a 2nd RB if this happened.

lmao. Henderson isn't one of our two best secondary guys. The dude doesn't even know how to line up properly. He's played offense pretty much his entire career.

DJ has a lot more experience handling the ball than defending WRs.

We've got a million CBs and S's that could end up here in Edwards, Dean, Bandy, Carter, and Smith. What we don't have is a reliable 3rd option at RB.

Why waste a scholarship this late in the game reaching for a RB that doesn't belong at Miami? You guys just wanna take a RB for the sake of it even if he doesn't belong here.

Take a grad transfer who will be a serviceable 3rd string RB and then take 2-3 next year. Much better year for RB's in SoFla in 2018.

jeff feagles to RB is all we need he was running over boys up in NJ where they play some good hs football. we did it once with monroe to receiver hahaha but seriously he could actually be a 5th string rb watch his hl if you don't think so

Okay Smith and carter are S, not CB. Hendo is better I feel at CB than Edwards. We still are thin at RB and you don't just throw guys in there because they did it 3 years ago. I agree Deejay would be a better option than Hendo in the backfield. I should have 2 of our best secondary recruits.

1. One in the hand is better than two in the bush. No guarantees on landing elite talent next year. We've been kicking this can for years now. It's time to stop dreaming for next year and live for now. We need depth without trashing people's careers by playing position musical chairs.
2. Nobody knows who's elite Miami talent or not. You get a handful who seem like can't miss prospects, but out of those many still strike out in College. Then you get guys like Portis, who nobody though was worth a **** at RB who tears it up. People change in college. Get me a guy with room to grow who is crazy about putting on orange and green.

Pete, is epstein an Alpha kinda guy... i see Thomas Brown just started following him.. if hes an Alpha and will bring it in practice i dont think its a bad take at all

We've been saying it for years now with nothing to back it up tho. We just had a 9 win season, won our first bowl game in a decade, and by all accounts, with the easy schedule next year, should improve on that. It's different now.

Thomas Brown done ****ed this **** up. Spent months insinuating big time double secret commit, blah-blah, & chasing off yearby & Edwards so it would blow up in his dumb *** face.

The guy need to learn to talk less and do more.

So tired of this idiotic opinion. And if McFarland came you would call Brown the best recruiter on the team. STFD.

Results matter. For the last two years, Brown has been tasked with one recruiting mandate: Get McFarland. Brown has been up McFarland's *** the last two years and he was the last to know that McFarland was gone. Brown spent the last three months bragging about McFarland being a commit to the likes of the cat lady, SMD, and Barry Jackson - all the while, McFarland was taping his commitment video to Maryland.

As a fan base, we should be impressed:

1. That Timmie tried his best in recruiting?
2. That he kept it 100 with McFarland?
3. That he wakes up ever morning and reads Bible verses?

Man, if Senior & Junior McFarland tag teamed with cot **** Maryland to eat Timmie's lunch, what do you think the sharks down here will do to Lil' Timmie?

Brown was dumb enough to go all in on McFarland, didn't have a backup plan, and is now left holding the bag. The day after signing day, CMR should fire his conceited, premature egg-counting, dumb ***. Or maybe Timmie should be kept around for his innovative play-calling?

Yes, for the last two years, Brown's only task has been to get McFarland. Keep showing how smart you are. All these "insiders" seem to know the inner working of the program. How do know that the whole staff including Richt felt so strongly that McFarland was coming that they told Brown to not have a backup plan or at least don't spend too many resources chasing other recruits?

Maybe if you would quit taking it so personally when a recruit doesn't pick a school that you root for, you would see how silly you sound.

Do you not understand that sometimes a coach or coaches can literally do everything perfect to get a kid, and a kid will still maybe not choose your school? Do you get that?

who was the Auburn player RB/WR, a transfer I believe that had excellent speed that we were looking at as a possible WR some time back. He was about 5.9 and 180-185.

We have two clipholders in our offensive coaching ranks. Jon Richt and Brown. I still don't understand what they do besides babysit the kids when Richt has other duties to attend to. Richt is the defacto OC and QB coach.
