There’s not much information to glean from that tweet, other than he’s going to be doing a NIL marketing business.
Literally anyone can start & do NIL businesses for players if they want to, you could give a player NIL deal for $40 dollars if he wanted it (not that any of them would), but the point is, there’s no grand major conspiracy or anything conspicuous going on.
He’s a rich guy with a lot of disposable income who wants to help Miami win, what’s the issue here?
The only difference between him & the Texas boosters is that he hasn’t yet started butting in on coaching meetings & trying to tell the staff who should or shouldn’t start & there’s no way on earth he’d do that, nor would Mario let him.
Whether or not his multi-billion dollar deal goes through or not, is really irrelevant, it’s not like he’s flat broke & it’s not like he still wouldn’t be a willing financial contributor to the program. Miami needs all the money we can get & then some if yall really want us to compete for the CFP on an annual basis.
We need to use every resource & every potential booster we have to give ourselves the opportunity to win, if Ruiz wants to throw around his money, let him.
