New NIL by Ruiz

Man ain't spent buss fare on the the program yet. Thought it was interesting he immediately jumped to stadium which will be nearly impossible and will take time instead of easy low hanging fruit like facilities locker room or NIL from jump. Begging for attention begging for clout. Lastly the billions are not in the account. It's contigent on that company going public and his majority shares will then bring billions. Legit business man would have waited in the wings moved quietly and then paid for all the things with quicker turnover and slapped his name on it.

This take might age like unrefrigerated chicken but it's odd. How many soon to be billionaires are coolin with DBC???? Love DBC to death but come on. Like I said could all be legit but seems off.
Dude seems VERY confident the deal goes through. But I’m with you that it seems kinda sketchy doing all this without knowing for sure.

More of this. Time to play the game on a somewhat even playing field and by the same rules. Open up the vault.

There’s not much information to glean from that tweet, other than he’s going to be doing a NIL marketing business.

Literally anyone can start & do NIL businesses for players if they want to, you could give a player NIL deal for $40 dollars if he wanted it (not that any of them would), but the point is, there’s no grand major conspiracy or anything conspicuous going on.

He’s a rich guy with a lot of disposable income who wants to help Miami win, what’s the issue here?

The only difference between him & the Texas boosters is that he hasn’t yet started butting in on coaching meetings & trying to tell the staff who should or shouldn’t start & there’s no way on earth he’d do that, nor would Mario let him.

Whether or not his multi-billion dollar deal goes through or not, is really irrelevant, it’s not like he’s flat broke & it’s not like he still wouldn’t be a willing financial contributor to the program. Miami needs all the money we can get & then some if yall really want us to compete for the CFP on an annual basis.

We need to use every resource & every potential booster we have to give ourselves the opportunity to win, if Ruiz wants to throw around his money, let him.

I understand why many are hesitant with Ruiz.

But this guy ain't some Nevin Shapiro. He and his kids went to Miami, has law degrees, loves the U, and is related to Mario Cristobal through marriage. He's also already made the second most expensive home purchase in Miami Dade history at $49mil just this year.

Even if the going public doesn't happen right now, his company was also already valuated at $10B. It's not a scam.

I know we're a PTSD inflicted fanbase to a certain extent and South Florida is shady by nature but I don't get what you guys think Ruiz's ulterior motive is here. Temporary clout from a fanbase that'll turn on him in a second if nothing materializes? What's that do for him personally or professionally? It's not like the dude is selling something or looking to get OUR money.

I think it's much more likely that he expects to be verrrry rich verrrry soon and he wants to be viewed as a hero in his hometown through a pet/passion project of bringing us "back".

I personally feel no need to question anything he says now and wish more power to him. If nothing materializes it's not like it will have cost us anything and he'll become a joke in the eyes of the fanbase. It's a win-win right now that we have guys like him and Lambert and Mas and Lemonis at least appearing to be really interested in being new money and new attitudes around the program.
