MEGA New Miami Adidas Ultraboost🔥 - The Shoe and Nike/Adidas Thread.

…. and Nike has underperformed versus adidas to an even greater degreeover the last 12 months shown by the chart above.

This isn’t an attempt to trash Nike, I mean the facts are the facts. I’m posting this because there’s going to have to be a reaction by the Nike board, and that’s what I’m looking at. Nike’is underperformance may result in an another major upper management shake up.

I think there may be an opportunity to make money with Nike, but I I’m posting about this because there’s going have to be a strong reaction by the Nike board, and that’s what I’m looking at. Nike’s underperformance may result in an another major upper management shake up, resulting in a possible buying opportunity . But I wouldn’t be ready to throw any money down unless I see dramatic management and philosophical/marketing/operational changes. Just an outsider waxing about theoretical possibilities, with no inside knowledge.

@Rellyrell , any chance we can peel the rattlesnake off the side? It appears to be the only FAMU design element...

PS, sorry, it looks like it says "Rattlers" in very small print near the toe box. I can fix that with a green Sharpie...
I saw
These the other day and was like wow look at this custom UM job before I realized haha very nice

My gf is a Vols fan (I've got her at least part-timing for the Canes now...making progress), but her and I are going on Oct 3rd to see them play Auburn. Never been to Neyland, should be interesting. These are the unis they'll be wearing for that game apparently.

She's coming with me to the Wake Forest and UNC games to watch the Canes. Hate I'm missing the game @Clemson on 10/3, but compromise, I guess.

Doo doo buttcheeks

Everytime it’s makes me laugh that these jerseys/photos pass their QC department. Someone is paid a lot of money to look at these photos and select one/many that get posted for millions to see…. And this photo was selected as one of the better ones 🤣

Of course you do.
You keep saying this as if I don't call it objectively how I see it lmao. This is a nice looking uni. I mean idk what the pants are, but jersey and helmet looks nice. If the pants are just that white one it makes the whole thing bad.... Pants need to be grey.

But every time you respond like this it proves further you can't be objective and only say positive things about Nike lmao

Because you look at the uniforms on a very surface level. If the uniform doesn't have any bulges or embroidering inconsistencies, you give it a thumbs up.

This has NOTHING to do with Nike vs. adidas.

It has to do with the storylines behind the uniform changes and whether the uniform maker has been responsive to tradition and preferences.

You just look at a picture and say "I like it". And that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. But maybe, just maybe, don't always accuse people of being "Nike fanboys" because we respond to something that your surface-level perusal does not capture.

Maybe try reading the comments FROM TENNESSEE FANS. I've been friends (and former co-workers) with a Big 4 tax partner for 30 years who is a Tennessee alum, and they really really really like the Power-T on the helmets. It's like trying to change the split-U on our helmets. It will not end well.

I'll save all the other color and design choices for another day. However, I would say that I think that adidas went a little detail-crazy with the gray-on-gray shoulder detail that you really can't even see. Weird.

Was all of that too specific for you? Not enough "Nike rules, adidas drools" for ya? Is it a beautiful shade of gray, sure. But I don't expect a detailed-eye critique when you post.

Holy **** dude I look at the overall design and how it all matches and say if I like it. Like any normal person lmao. You act like I’ve ever have been on here giving any **** about super micro details and stupid *** stitching patterns that ultimately make no difference. I haven’t. And especially for 1-off alternate uniforms I’m very fine trying new styles out.

The funny thing about the over analytical details and meaning **** is you can be waaay more bull****ty and subjective about it than just a pure “does it actually look nice” simple statement. You can comb through whatever minuscule detail you want and use that as the foundation for your Adidas hate then find the same thing for Nike and view it positively. Idgaf. does it actually look good or not? You post any 10 uniforms you want from either brand and I will give a simple yes no I like it I don’t it’s ugly it’s whatever… it’s really not that complicated.

It is a fact you and especially other dude are Nike fanboys. You can’t even be honest about that still lol. You have that negative slant and it shapes how you go into these discussions. Period.

I on the other hand look at a bunch of pictures from both Nike and adidas on here and will say whether I like it or not objectively. While every time you ONLY will ever respond to me saying something when it’s positive adidas… wonder why?

Am I allowed to say I don’t care much for the bigger shoulder stripe on this @TheOriginalCane ? Lol. It’s fine. Most black unis either red and not too much going on will look solid to good.

I will say the Mahomes logo I think I previously said I didn’t like, actually looks fine on this. But since you are a detail guy I don’t like the bar on the right that it doesn’t line up with the curve and extends past it

Them finally embracing a true football collar has helped them tremendously. I’m convinced the Miami “V” “W” saga is the sole reason they adopted to the 20th century of football jerseys and added a true collar on many, not all, of their jerseys

They will never figure out Jersey fit & number/font issues. I’m convinced that is what will continue to hold them back. Because if they could have fixed it, I know they would have. But I’m of the believe they can’t

Look, you are allowed to say whatever you want to say. In fact, it's better if you do, because at least you are then articulating a detailed reason.

As for Texas Tech, does ANYONE have ANY idea of what their "traditional uniform" looks like? And/or does anyone give a ****?

Therefore, adidas can do whatever the **** they want to do without violating 100 years of tradition (or whatever).

Black uniforms (without too much ornamentation) tend to look good. I don't understand "two stripes" on the shoulders when adidas is trying to push that "three stripe life", but whatevs.

I do think that the Zorro stuff is hilarious.

I’d run in these… I’m tempted to get a pair if I can stretch out the toe box. I don’t have a problem wearing FAMU stuff anyway.
