MEGA New Miami Adidas Ultraboost🔥 - The Shoe and Nike/Adidas Thread.

I hear you on the upper material. I stopped wearing on running shoes cause i was having problems with the uppers on every shoe i wore. I’ve found that max stack height + softer, cushy, foams and thin uppers aren’t a good fit for me and my running style. Not to sound like a salesman but i found a great fit with foam firmness, upper material , and lacing in the mount to coast lineup R1 and i built my quiver around that. Still looking for a walking shoe that i liked as much as the original asics glideride. I wish i had grabbed 3-4 pairs.

No kidding about the Mount to coast. I don’t have that particular one, but I do have the H1, and that’s turned out really well for me. Not sure if the bifurcated lacing makes any difference or not, I mean, it hasn’t made a difference positive or negative for me, might just be a gimmick, but overall, this is a versatile shoe that you can take off road.

I've been eyeing the H1s! Good to see your feedback on them. I tried them on the treadmill at a local store but they didn't have my size. I like the hybrid functionality of them with the lugs. Yeah, I leave the toe box section completely loose and just keep the ankle secured with the dual lacing system. It feels like more of a useful feature on my 10+mile runs cause that's when my feet will swell more.

To me, it has a pretty generous toebox to begin with, haven’t tried loosening the bottom ones, but I might on a longer run. On these particular shoes, the most I’ve run in these is about six or 7 miles, but those are usually mixed runs some road and some off-road or trail. Not that it makes any difference but also the brown tan colorway, I think is pretty sharp. Of course mine are pretty dirty right now.

I run in my SL quite a bit don’t have stability issues. I will say they’re not for walking though. And people running everyday in carbon fiber plates is probably why your muscles/achilles hurt.
I might get a pair eventually but the outsole worries me. I’m 200 pounds so seems like the outsole would be worn down after 150 miles.

I do wish Adidas would drop better colorways. I wanna get the dropset pro but all the cw’s are meh. I’ll just end up getting the basic black/white

Jordan Brand is dying. Overpriced and it's customers are aging out. Same thing with Harley Davidson losing the next generation. But yeah Nike and Jordan understand the culture. Wearing Nike doesn't make your **** enlarge. Objectively Nike is still #1 as he said but at this rate it won't be for long.

I'm just the messenger.

I'll add if Jordan is desperate perhaps Miami can charge a ransom for a deal.

I float between 190-195 I workout and run. And seemingly don’t have issues in them.

First off, at 200 pounds I can guarantee you these will last you well over 150 miles. They’ll most likely last you over 500 miles.

Second, being worried about the outsole in these new high stacky shoes means you have issues dragging your feet or something. The life of the foam should be your concern imo

I'm so glad you are unbiased...

And I'll have you know, my **** is much larger since I have started wearing Nikes. Which was in middle school.

Uh oh it may not only be Adidas who releases trash lol

If you don’t like the design of these I can live with that. I don’t agree but still can see how someone might not like how these look. But please take a look at the detail and execution of the jersey. Adidas could never even dream of this. Comparing the materials, detail, and execution of this jersey compared to any adidas school is comparing minor leagues to hall of fame.

You all have to see this, right? Whether you love adidas or not comparing uniforms/player gear is like comparing FCS to P4

Well I did 300 miles on the new balance rebel v4 and the outsole was wearing down on the toe box. I think I do have an unbalance foot strike or something who knows. But the Evo Sl just doesn’t look like it has much under there. Foam isn’t really the concern, the rebel still has plenty of cushion and plush in them.

Have about 100 miles on the asics Novablast 5 and those seem to be holding sturdy cushion and traction

ah, I personally would not consider the NB Rebelv4 a daily trainer. It's more of a tempo/workout shoe with an extremely short life. At 300 miles for a 200 lb runner, it's well overcooked imo, especially if your not using it as intended While the outsole might be worn, that foam has been cooked for awhile - I dont care how it feels - It has EVA blended in. You cannot compare that to the TPEE in the adidas evo sl.

The Novablast 5 I would consider a trainer and it has a lot more stack so it will give more miles than the NB Rebel. Probably not as much as the Novablast 4 or the EVO SL but it's probably knocking on the door or 500 miles. These are very well regarded trainers. And for these specifically, I would note that it does have exposed foam on the outsole and do not be concerned if that starts to wear.

I don't totally disagree. Jordans are expensive - I don't see how a lot people afford them. I'm Gen X and will always see them as Gen X's thing. I never had a pair growing up and I'm definitely compensating now. 1-12 are iconic shoes for me and I don't expect younger generations to understand the impact that Michael Jordan had on our childhoods. I see a lot of Gen Zers wearing the running trainers from 20 years ago like the Asics Kayano 12. It makes since. There affordable enough and practical for urban living where youre walking around more. Anytime I go to the northeast or Chicago I dont bring Jordans, I bring Asics 1130s - There very decent for walking around and theyre cool.

I do feel like a lot of the issues with these releases of the Jordans revolve around the crackdown on resellers and the stoppage of the train heists. Since 2024 there were probably at least a dozen train heists targeting Jordans. This was easily a few million dollars worth and maybe upwards of $10 million. And we dont even know about pre-2024. There hasnt been a heist since October of 2025. And that is also when the resellers started to lose control. So these resellers are no longer able to create the illusion of scarcity. And since theyre no longer being stolen, theyre a lot easier to get from Nike when released.

The unis r gas, period. They’re symmetrical, the fit is perfect, a true collar, the primary colors don’t overshadow the uni, but rather compliment. The seams don’t bleed into the name plates nor numbers. The numbers aren’t at different levels. The font is professional. The gloves literally matches w/ the same breathable material used.

There’s a segment in this fan base that have a hard time giving compliments to teams, coaches, brands that’s not associated w The University of Miami. These same ones will literally gas uniforms we’ve been given that r baggy, distorted, & not our primary colors. It’s hilarious to me. We’ve been given unis that literally sag in the back, like someone got their manhood taken in prison, & these mofos feel they’re somehow qualified to judge designs? Lol.

I’ve seen hate on facilities, stadiums, etc. & that doesn’t make u a super fan; it just makes u look insecure. Told my UTenn homies, Adidas got that orange looking like Manning’s heyday, they did a great job in resurrecting Volunteer Orange. Y can I give that compliment? I hate UGA even more since my lil cousin is a huge fan & alum, & my colleague is an alum…but, two things can be true. These stormtroopers r fire, & it’s been well received by most, including their rivals.

Ding, ding, ding. Brother, if u were next to me I would buy u a drink.
