The uniforms are fine. The fan gear is ******* buns. They need to step it up tremendously.
How ******* hard can this be?

Hire @Rellyrell @TheOriginalCane and @caneingville and be done with it…

We’ll either have the best stuff, including women’s, or it’ll get burned down, so either way the apparel threads will set records.

Thank u @Angry Ibis for responding to this b/c I forgot.

So a poster in this very thread had the privilege of attending the ACC Kick Off last yr. They DM’d me directly b/c they’ve seen me talk about quality & aesthetics. Well, wouldn’t u know as they got up on our new football jerseys, what were the issues? Quality & Aesthetics. They were able to do a comparison between the Nike jerseys on display vs. the Adidas jerseys on the display. Between the fabric, seams distorting the numbers, name plates being uneven (it was Beck’s jersey on display), they said it was a clear cut difference between Nike & Adidas.

Our jerseys looks more high schoolish - FCS, while Nike looks D1 - NFL.

Is anything being done about this?

My favorite Nike jersey. Like everybody else says, Adidas fan gear is awful and the jerseys/program apparel are good. The de facto duopoly leaves a lot to be desired as UA + Puma + Reebok would be like sporting USPA. New Balance has some gained some clout recently however they are still too far behind to help us.

If Jordan isn’t an option, an underutilized brand under Nike is Converse which would be rather unique.

Adidas appears in too deep to let us go while Nike would prefer to stay cheap so c’est la vie.

Adidas is gonna cut a check and we will accept their 2nd rate product because we dont care and got paid
I mean that’s fine with me as long as the money amount is actually larger. The current Adidas deal really didn’t do that when all is said and done. If adidas’s offer is truly night and day different then I’ll be on the three stripe bandwagon too.

Sounds like we thought it was one way and adidas with their 2nd rate product showed us it was another.. Just like we would be top dog for them and then turn around and Louisville is really.. We dont seem to care too much so we happy to resign.. :u5pyxda:

Idk I trust the people in charge now. The President and his men are all successful business people. Our new AD will be in place by then and will likely have a business background as well. I believe they’ll properly evaluate all options.

I also know the Mases are in with Adidas so maybe not, but I don’t think they’d make a rash decision.

I'm not being critical, I'm just asking.

"As long as the money amount is actually larger" - I am assuming you mean that adidas offers more money than Nike, right?

If so, and you had a choice between a very nice shirt and a defective, inferior shirt, how much money would someone have to pay you to wear the worse shirt?

For me, the answer is simple, I'm wearing the nicer shirt. Yes, I realize that we can make a hypothetical where I'm offered a blllion dollars to wear the crappy shirt, I get that.

As I pointed out earlier in the thread (when citiing the CASH component of numerous university apparel deals, the numbers are not life-changing different. Again, the cash we are paid for an apparel contract is a SMALL FRACTION of the extra money we made going to the CFP Final.

The adidas money is not going to be life-changing. YES, the "total advertised value" of the contract will be eye-popping, as adidas includes all the non-cash components, like helmets and shoulder pads (not cheap).

But the cash? Let's just wear Nike and then make the playoffs.
