The locker room update was Blake’s Big plan to upgrade faculties… nothing else.
Lol sounds like FSU

One man's trash is another man's garnet and gold.**** sent the whole locker room into the portal
One man's trash IS “a” man's garnet and gold.
Hate if you want, but I CAN'T WAIT for "Fast & the Furious, In Space, On Ice"Bro Fast & Furious have been awful for a while. Dudes went from jacking cars & modifying them to street race, to some real over the top ish that I never ever seen in a Marvel comic! Lol.

FIFYBro; “Fast & Furious Red Planet” should be fire. Racing against Martian technology?? What will Dom, Roman, Letty & FAMILY have in store for those pesky Martians?

HKS is one of the premier architectural firms in the country. They’ve built some of the best stadiums around (Jerry world, Lucas Oil, etc.)Speaking of facilities View attachment 182768
It’s stupid, a locker room should be about function. That said, you have to do every single thing you can to attract the talent you need and this is part of it.Now that’s a football locker room. I’d take that 100 out of 100 times vs the new ones. I know I’m in the minority with that thinking and understand why schools have to go all out.
This is a cutthroat business, people are looking for any advantage. If it hadn’t been Oregon, somebody else would have started this off. And you see this everywhere, hospitals are being designed to look more like hotels because that helps attract “customers”. And if we’re being fair, it’s not just kids who are impressionable and impressed by this stuff. People always say they bought their car because of safety and sh*t like that, but you know the biggest selling point was they liked the way it looks/makes them feel. And if u watch the UGA locker video, there’s a link to The NFL’s KC Chief unveiling their new locker room. Hence why I said in the facilities thread that even NFL teams r investing in their facilities. That wasn’t an opinion. Lol.
The game of football has changed; no longer are the days of some generic lockers, a table, and a laundry area going to suffice for prospects. Facilities matter & they attract. If they didn’t, it wouldn’t happen all over CFB. You can thank Oregon for all of this. Since Oregon didn’t have a blue blood tradition to rely upon, they started to attract young, impressionable kids w/ a grip of alternate uniforms & facilities. There’s a whole article of blue blood schools & NFL teams visiting Oregon’s campus to see the hype & all came away impressed & followed the blue print.
Sports is a copy cat league. We can’t rely upon the past anymore; it’s time to step in to the future, & we have the right leadership to move us in that direction. Love the renewed emphasis to bring The U to the 21st century of collegiate athletics.
Man what? People do not associate the Rock with Miami. They associate him with wrestling.Exactly, he lived the football player lifestyle - at the U. People associate him with Miami football.
That is literally my point. This school, and community, is part of his brand.
MENS SOCCERI'm also hoping we reinstate some sports and/or add new sports
That Blake James story was such an obvious test made by Lambert back then, I am amazed that a university graduate didnt see that.I would just remind the world of this.
Multiple boosters sitting in Beta Blake's office asked him what his dream project would be, if he had a BLANK CHECK, and his confidence-crushing response was "locker room renovations and hire a couple more consultants".
THAT piece of crap has been our fund-raising "leader" for the past decade. Keep in mind, Dwayne/Dany's contribution to build that locker room in the first place was $2 million. So we had an AD who was hypothetically offered a BLANK CHECK, and he responded with a laundry list that would have cost $3 million. Maybe $4 million.
That's my point, that we should just let our football players give whatever they feel good about. I don't think they felt great over the past decade, at least in the sense of feeling that their donations would be well-spent.
I think a lot is changing now.
Lap dances after the gameIndividual lockers, designed with a “Miami” vibe, allowing for privacy when needed.

Plus if they could get AECOM involved again like with the IPF. AECOM was one of the joint venture GCs for SoFi and they do some amazing next level work.I spoke on this, but when HKS Architects was brought on, this situation appeared more realistic than fantasy. HKS is a global leading architect firm. They r not in the business to waste their time. They specialize in innovative architectural planning & structure.
Again, since I live w/in spitting distance of the new Ram’s stadium, no one, & I literally mean no one thought a stadium could be built in the proposed area. Literally, right next door to the stadium is a gated community. It worked; the downside is the traffic, but they’re working on that as we speak.
Seems like they could have dedicated access to 826 to and from the stadium, to reduce the local traffic to a minimum.I spoke on this, but when HKS Architects was brought on, this situation appeared more realistic than fantasy.
