New Barry Jackson: Trustees Seek Change in Offense

Oh dude imagine being the guy in the blue shirt. One minute your on the field talking to some other coach’s and media and the next thing your hit from behind and thrown into the passenger seat of the run away golf cart. Lmao talk about shock! The funny thing is when he realizes what happened he’s trying to steer it. 🤣

I’m no fan of Shalalalala but I always found it strange that people were under the impression that Frenk gave 3 shyts about any sport, much less football.

UM never open the purse for a coach before Richt/Frenk, just seemed like he cared about football.

A case of mistaken identity I see.

I found it troubling. This program really does hang on a thin thread. Here is the quote.

That trustee said changes might be more likely if Donna Shalala were still the UM president. Why?

UM president Julio Frenk “is not involved in sports,” the trustee said. “Donna was. I can guarantee you that Julio has not gone to Blake to complain about the offense. He goes to games and that’s it.”

Trust me, Julio is interested in results..
At the of the year, if you are paying a boatload of $$$ for these kind of results ... it will get scrutinized..

He must have thought it was an alien abduction or something 😂... the way he bailed

New OC/OL coach isn't going to make a difference. (Coker forced to make changes and it had no effect.). There are too many issues with every aspect of the team and it's is going to get a lot worse.

“The play-calling stinks. Mark should be paying attention to the whole game instead of calling plays. Al Golden didn’t want to listen to us about [firing defensive coordinator] Mark D’Onofrio and the same thing is happening here. He has to look at his son [quarterbacks coach Jon Richt] and the offensive line coach [Stacy Searels]. This is the problem with hiring your son. Our special teams aren’t good enough. There are a lot of problems.”

Stuff like this honestly caught me off guard. They weren't exactly pulling any punches and its almost like I was reading CIS.
Richt can't fix sh^#t because he's too busy running his offense and calling sh#^ty plays!!

The main concern is that Richt looks like the captain of a sinking ship... no OC worth his salt is going to move here ...
...hopefully we can find an hungry young innovative OC that Richt will allow to work without interfering. I don't have much hope in him on that aspect..
Completely backwards. If your an OC you have the opportunity to turn around a complete **** show of an offense that is loaded with skill player talent very quickly..... huge opportunity!!!!

richt doesnt even know alot of the issues going on wit hthe team. he doesnt care about special teams. my friend was telling me other day, when he played under butch, that guy knew everything going on. coker was more like richt.

Why make a comment like this when you have absolutely ZERO idea if this is true or false.

Maybe its that he didn't. Shalala loved Golden because he stuck through "the cloud". We knew he wasn't getting fired while she was in office. However, maybe Frenk didn't care enough to have loyalty so we finally got rid of him

She felt a sense of loyalty to Golden because of how they lied to him about the investigation when he took the job and stayed. I read an article on her the year before she retired and they asked her about making a coaching change and she said she wanted to let her successor decide so they could hire their own coach. I think she realized he needed to go.

Shala and the BOT informed Frenk what a **** show the program was and how upset the alumni/community was with its current state. He was advised it was best not to start his tenure with that cloud hanging over the school and made the change. But if the alumni’s and the community would be content with a mediocre team, he wouldn’t make a change.

because he didnt know about alot of the stuff bothering the freshmen. that's a fact.
that being said, he has been good at talking kids into staying in past.

All this confirms to me is that your AD wasn't even going to fire Golden until the BOT forced his hand, something most of us already knew. I don't expect any major changes. Richt has shown that he only hires yes men and that he will not allow anyone to question his pathetic offense. Just ask Jeff Thomas.
