New Barry Jackson: Trustees Seek Change in Offense

That Trustee A said: “Mark should look in the mirror and know that something needs to change. He’s trying to run the power offense he used at Georgia and doesn’t have the talent to do it. He had a great offensive line and great running backs at Georgia, and we don’t have that here. He’s trying to run between the tackles and we don’t have the offensive line to do it consistently.

“You have to change your offense according to what you have. You saw the success they had when they lost their tight ends and they spread the field against Virginia Tech. You should put all these receivers on the field, throw five to seven yard passes where you don’t need to block as long and use our speed and athleticism.”

Thank the lord someone sees what I’ve been saying. Gosh I hate Richt, how is he so bad at his job and make 4 million dollars. Straight up robbery.

What is the more realistic scenario... firing Jon Richt and hiring an OC/QB coach, firing Searels and hiring an OC/OL coach, or firing Patke and hiring an OC that doesn't coach QBs?

Best case scenario is Jon Richt and Searels are fired and we get a new OL coach and an OC/QB coach.

Maybe Jon Richt will take a demotion to quality control and sit in the booth like he does anyway and just not be involved in recruiting. If Alabama can hire guys like Sark to be a quality control then Richt needs to swallow his pride and make his son one. **** he can even have the same pay and we can pay 800k for an OC if it has to be like that.

Im sure they are noticing now with less butts in the stands...

Last year was a reminder about what a positive thing having an exciting football team can bring in revenue wise for the school... Wasn't it reported that the school had the most applications after Game day did their set and we had people diving into pools while the rest of the country was in the frigid 40s?

Money talks and if they got a to dip their big toe and see what could be I reckon they dont mind opening up the coffers... especially if that 1mill for a OC is true
 
Unfortunately it's a reactive measure at this point.

The goal should be to get better every single season and evolve constantly as the game and your players change.

This especially true in college football where your roster turns over regardless of how much you like a player. There isn't a franchise tag.

Should of hired Butch the first time. These fuqin people dont ....im not a Leach guy but when have these people ever listened to the fans? They dont know what they are doing whwn they interview coaches they dont know football

Doubt it, it will have to be another embarrassing pitchfork and torch moment for the fans before **** changes.
Get ready for 2 more years of golden part deux. About to be embarrassing for us as fans and times 2 for anyone in FB
Going to have to have it bleed over into basketball and all that type of **** again
