Problem is, it is fine if he has to hire an OC, but he will just hire another yes man that runs his system (Mike Bobo).

“Blake’s job,” that trustee said, “is to ask Richt to explain what are we doing to make changes and tell him, ‘what you’re doing isn’t working.’ If Mark’s stubborn, you get stubborn with him. Blake is an excellent AD and this is part of his job.”

This is the part that has me worried. Will Blake do this? Blake likes clean hands. Great fundraiser this guy is, but I'm not sure if he has the balls to go to to toe w/ a veteran head coach who was just given an undeserved extension as suggested by him.

Can you imagine how much scrutiny he is going to receive next week it our offense sucks now knowing we are willing to put up $1m/yr for a offensive coordinator.

The main concern is that Richt looks like the captain of a sinking ship... no OC worth his salt is going to move here ...
...hopefully we can find an hungry young innovative OC that Richt will allow to work without interfering. I don't have much hope in him on that aspect..

Fire up the plane! Get the signs ready... show up at every event MR and family attends push him to retire or for UM to pay his buyout
This has all come crashing down
No time to wait for MR and his pride to do the right thing
Jeff Thomas won’t be the last to leave THIS YEAR

Im sure they are noticing now with less butts in the stands...

Last year was a reminder about what a positive thing having an exciting football team can bring in revenue wise for the school... Wasn't it reported that the school had the most applications after Game day did their set and we had people diving into pools while the rest of the country was in the frigid 40s?

Money talks and if they got a to dip their big toe and see what could be I reckon they dont mind opening up the coffers... especially if that 1mill for a OC is true

The school also had a record applications last year. The football team balled. Not a coincidence if you ask me. Some people don't wanna hear it but UM is known for it's football program mostly. It's what put the school on the map. When the team is great it great for the entire school.

This is definitely A-Rod speaking...

Don’t know what Bernie’s doing but Jon Vilma is definitely not the guy speaking. He’s too busy working his ESPN gig and A-Rod is definitely a guy who would use the word foolish.

This portion is sad. It's sad that our BOT knows more than Richt.

"“You have to change your offense according to what you have. You saw the success they had when they lost their tight ends and they spread the field against Virginia Tech. You should put all these receivers on the field, throw five to seven yard passes where you don’t need to block as long and use our speed and athleticism.”

Against Virginia Tech, UM averaged 7.2 yards per play on 33 plays after UM lost its two remaining scholarship tight ends, compared with 3.7 yards per play before that time. For the season, Miami is averaging 5.6 yards per play.

The other issue, that trustee said, is “The play-calling stinks. Mark should be paying attention to the whole game instead of calling plays. Al Golden didn’t want to listen to us about [firing defensive coordinator] Mark D’Onofrio and the same thing is happening here. He has to look at his son [quarterbacks coach Jon Richt] and the offensive line coach [Stacy Searels]. This is the problem with hiring your son. Our special teams aren’t good enough. There are a lot of problems.”"

Exact same thing happened after the 2001 Season.
