New ‘22 offer - Jack Pyburn - commits to UiF

I edited my post because the same happened with how we lost William Barnes and Ed Montilus to UNC because of Hev and his foolishness
I remember that with Barnes. UF had fumbled it with him. I know Rivers was down to Miami, UGA and UF. He was leaning between Miami and UF before he chose.

If they are indeed lying on the kid, that should be a huge stain on their program. Because buddy looks crazy with those demands. LOL.

I thought the same thing too when I read that. However, what if there’s some freshman that’s making more than him who haven’t played one snap. Or may be on campus and not putting in the work that he is. We may think that sounds crazy, but we really have no idea what some of these other kids are making. And it’s not like the kid was on the bench or playing and not producing at all. I’m not saying he deserves that kind of money, but we really don’t know what the market is for these players right now.

However, I don’t see that being true at all.
But agents get involved and things get really ugly.

Another instance of UF writers lying to deflect from losing a starter.

Was he that good? No. Would he start for them next year? No. But they can’t help themselves from spinning everything

I think he would have started. He is great against the run. Would they have pulled him for nickel and dime packages, **** yes.

Kid has been a model player, never gave them any trouble, flipped from UM to UF even after UF slow-played him until the last minute of the recruiting cycle.

And now The Gator is trying to money-shame a kid who they've probably paid zero-point-zero for his first three years.

Sad.

No he doesn't look crazy. He would have been their leading returning tackler, and he wants to be developed and not be pulled from every passing situation.

It's pretty funny how bullet points 3 and 4 are saying essentially the same thing. And bullet point 2 is just "don't recruit a Portal kid over me and put me on the bench for my senior year".

Kid stayed local and loyal to Hogtown and Slingblade Billy. He should be compensated.

After they went crazy with ridiculous offers to recruits, this was too obvious..the guys ON the team who have already produced deserve an equal part of the much larger pie.

Everybody saw this coming.

They'll lose other starters too.

Just like blowhardstein and saying the fsu qb was asking for 7 figures.
And it's funny because he's a very mobile QB with tools for a good arm and they just ran him off that quickly. I thought he fit great in that system

I'm sure they still had to pay Castellanos market rate.

They wasted a year of his eligibility and didn't develop him at all. They owed him a decent amount for that alone. I think he is a kid who after a year or two developing under the right guy could be very good
