Never really in doubt but confirmed by CMR on Joe Rose show

I’m not going to say it’s good Richt waited but I would hate to be in the situation that Clemson is in.
We've played 5 games. Malik's played in 4. He can still take a redshirt & transfer like Bryant if that's what he wants to do, but realistically speaking, transfer options are unlikely. Everybody saw the LSU game. Regardless, this isn't some scheme from Richt to keep him from transferring.

Aside from medical reasons, I don't think you can get 2 red-shirt seasons.

Rosier would have had to transfer before the season. This is his final season, no matter what.

Richt said pretty clearly what kept Weldon and Perry from playing both last year and earlier this year was that they were both knuckleheads and "not doing the right things" off the field. Anyone who follows the guys on snapchat can see that. I'm happy Perry's stepping up, just hope he stays out of trouble from here on out.

Yeah, FSU looked terrible defending the pass. Pass, the UL QB, had his best passing day of the year against FSU, and racked up a bunch of yards, despite being inaccurate and a poor decision maker. If the OL has even just a decent day, and the coaches call plays that get the ball out of Perry's hand quickly, Perry could have a big day.
Watching FSU vs Louisville, the middle of the FSU defense is a cive. They played 2 deep safeties and the middle of the field was wide open per the game announcers. There are going to be some big plays to Jordan, Thomas, Harley, and Langham all exploiting the middle of the FSU defense. If our O-Line has a decent day, Perry should throw for 300+.

Might be the first time I've said this in a while about FSU, but I think we can run on them. Consistently.

He will have to put all the trust in the world in him on Saturday. After watching that UL/FSU game it will be tough to run against that 3-4 Defense they got over there.

But they are unbelievably horrible against the pass (especially the middle of the field. Was wide open and the UL QB just couldn't hit it.). If they were playing a team with a decent QB they would have been blown out. This has to be Perry's coming out party.
Exactly. That’s that Michigan State/Pitt Dantonio/Narduzzi defefense. They’re going to sell out to stop the run and be incredibly vulnerable against the pass. If you have a good passing QB you can kill that defense like Kaaya did a couple years ago.

The boys gonna eat on offense. Teams have been using alot of zone against us and leaving the middle open because Rosier was so inconsistent and indecisive throwing there. Perry is a Fr, but he's not a true Fr. He spent 2 years going against college defenses even if not in game. He will get alot of man coverage v FSU. Looking to see some bombs. long as St Louis don't get him killed.

Rosier is a redshirt senior. He cannot redshirt again. His eligibility is gone.

RB1 and RB2 avg 5+

I had no concern about him not naming Perry the starter . A bigger concern of mine is he did not say Knowles would get limited playing time

We should body their pass defense I mean the lousivlle qb was worse than rosier.

not the same. Malik is not close to Kelly Bryant. Would have no problem with Cade or Jarren coming in as the back up to N'Kosi. What good is "experience" when that experience barely completes 50% of his passes? Cade and Jarren would be better if thrown in the fire

He said the suspension set Kosi back. If Kosi handles his business right, he would have been the starter day 1. You can tel Richt knows Kosi is the better talent but didn’t trust him. I’m glad Kosi has decided to step up and handle this like a job and run with it now.0
Good to hear

Richt has his shortcomings as a coach but I definitely trust his interactions and handling of players on a personal level. He’s never been a Rosier fan but he’s also huge on trust. I’m not going to speculate but I think he’s been wanting to make this move longer than the fans have to be honest

The past is the past.

*** FSU in the puszy.

He'll go back to Rosier. As much as he has struggled it's always good to have a backup with the experience of Rosier.

My faith in Rosier is lacking. Weldon hasn't a ton of looks in live action.

Its a tough call, but thats what Richt gets paid to do (thanks Capt Obvious).
