2028 Neimann Lawrence 5* QB from Northwestern (was Ransom Everglades)

Someone explain this to me like I'm 5. Lawrence leaves Ransom Everglades, and last night, Ransom beats Booker T. Washington 35-0. What happened to BTW? 10 years ago they would have beaten a team like Ransom 100-0.
Wow, that’s crazy.. 20 years ago we used to beat ransom routinely. Mind you, I went to HS in the FL keys….

Maybe RE decided to invest in football. I mean Lawrence could’ve been anywhere so why did he choose RE in the first place?
It’s not like nobody knew who he was. They may be stacking talent.

What school? Because 30 years ago we used to beat Coral Shores and Marathon all of the time, but we were pretty good in the mid to late 90s.
Beating up on the small public schools. Coral shores made a run in 93-94. I believe 12-1. Marathon made a similar run with the DT at FSU who played running back in HS. Well he actually played Rb, dt, p, k.

Transfer culture in South FL has completely ruined their High School Football scene.

It's been that way over the last 6+ years, but with massive amounts of transfers every offseason pretty much kills & rebirths schools every 6 months.

These schools simply cannot keep their talent anymore, so one year a team may make the playoffs & win State, then just 6 months later will have a mass exodus of transfers.

It's become rare for a kid in SF to even play for the HS that he's supposed to based on where he lives.

You got literally hundreds of Miami & Palm Beach kids playing in schools in Broward & vice versa.

The whole thing is a clusterfuxk.

Honestly kind of sad. High school football is in a strange place

BT Wwhole staff (COach Ice) left BTW because of all he bs and politics...and went to Mater Academy in Hialeah (private school). Took just about the whole team with em...i think one or two went to MNW and what was left stayed at BTW which is basically young kids.

Mater is a playoff team this year because of this

Sammy Butler, the RB at Coral Shores in '93 was legit. '94 Ransom killed CS, but '93 they were good. Marathon had Tony Bryant, but they were bad. Ransom beats them easily, even with Bryant there.

They definitely have to a point, at least more than they have in the past, but they're still not doing it like Gulliver.

As an RE grad, reading that BTW score left me dumbfounded. Absolute twilight zone.

Yeah, same. That was why I asked. Ransom had some good teams in the mid-90s when I was there, but they wouldn't have completed with a team like BTW. I saw Ransom blew out Miami Springs too. I assume they're bad, but the only public schools Ransom was beating 30 years ago were teams from the Keys.

93 coral shores was Kiki at RB. He went to WV. They also had Matt Proskine QB who went to Lehigh. I don’t recall Sammy.
