Nebraska?!

FSU - CLEMSON - VA Tech is Tie Guy Final Exam point blank period...

I agree. If Golden does not win 2 of these 3 games - I think even BJ will decide to finally fire him. VaTech should almost be a given - and Al has got to pull 1 of the other 2 out or it will be the nail in the coffin.

**** - even the Gophers beat Nebraska 2 of the past 3 seasons.

Jerry Kill is a good coach.

'Brasky and Cincy are the kinds of teams that end up giving us more trouble than they rightfully should. I'll be extremely surprised if we actually get to FSU 4-0, even though logically we shouldn't have too much trouble with them.

Rejoice.

Firing Day is 81 away.

If Miami doesn't win at least 2 out of the FSU, V-Tech, Clem's son stretch, Blake James decides to fire Golden!? Are you fugging kidding me? Is that what you think or is that just more infantile banter? I think Blake knows that Miami is unlikely to win more than one game in that series and could get blanked. Blake will make his decision at or close to the end of the season.

A win is a win no matter how anyone feels. Everytime we win this season people are and will try to discredit each win. It's sickening at this point.

Yep. It's kinda like finishing behind the team you beat 31-7.

Everyone loves to talk about how much Neb lost as a reason for why they'll be an easy win. Meanwhile, people just gloss over the fact that we lost 9 guys who made nfl rosters this year off a team with a losing record.

Exactly ...and that we played a high school team last week.

Miami has 3 guys that will get drafted in the first three rounds in 2016. There's a chance of More players, from this team, will get drafted than last year....

I thought Nebraska and BYU both played a good game. Miami fan will crap on any opponent Miami happens to beat. FSU - they suck without Jamis. Clem'son - they suck just like every ACC team ... Miami is gonna lose games this year and the jackel's will feast on the underbelly of every loss. Now if Miami loses to FAU reasonable fans will be up in arms too. The season will tell it's own tale but I'm gonna support dem Canes and hope they have a good season.

Are you suggesting reasonable fans can only be upset by a loss to an FAU-caliber squad?

Just to add a wee bit O' fact to the OP's rant...

Most of us here were saying that Nebraska was going to have a down year in 2015. No one felt they were an elite team. I personally said that we would learn a lot about Nebraska in week one, and we did. They lost at home to BYU (who went 8-5 last season). Mike Riley will need at least two years to get the Huskers where their fans and AD want them.

IMO, the Nebraska game has all the makings of an al golden special. That being a perceived big win early in the season against a team that ultimately finishes with a sub .500 record (see uf 2013, ohio state 2012, etc.)

I love how people are trying to downplay the possible and likely Nebraska win. Don't let your hate for golden fool you. That program is 66-28 since 2008 and hasn't had less than 9 wins since 2008 in ANY season. smh

Im blinded by NOTHING. I see exactly what's happening and Ive been on record on this board since summer saying exactly what I reposted above. This has nothing to do with irrational hated and everything to do with the facts in play. Everyone paying attention knew Nebraska was going to have a rebuilding year. And again, I posted about it here. Anyone paying attention knows that coach golden has never beaten a quality team in his entire career. Again, its not hatred, rather a simple understanding of things as they are. We are a poorly coached program who is going to play a team with a new coach who are rebuilding in 2015. I'll be highly surprised if Nebraska has 9 wins this season.

Exactly. If we beat FSU, the narrative from them will be "but it's a down year for FSU, having to replace so many players, and they played their worst game of the year, we just got lucky." We could go undefeated and they would still find some reason why that's not good enough. They don't care about the team or the program, they just want Golden out. Whereas I don't care who's coaching, if we win, we win.

I think there's bigger games then this Clemson GT FSU DUKE

Duke lost more, relatively speaking, than Nebraska did. In addition to losing a number of their top players to graduation, they lost a few more, including their best linebackers, to injury before the season started.
