I watched the BYU - NU game. NU looked very physical in the trenches on offense and defense. It will be a tough game.

We will start 4-0 and finish 6-7. I'm fairly confident in this prediction. Beating NU and Cincy is nothing. The gauntlet thereafter, along with Golden's deplorable November winning pct is a recipe for built up failure.

If Miami doesn't win at least 2 out of the FSU, V-Tech, Clem's son stretch, Blake James decides to fire Golden!? Are you fugging kidding me? Is that what you think or is that just more infantile banter? I think Blake knows that Miami is unlikely to win more than one game in that series and could get blanked. Blake will make his decision at or close to the end of the season.

The reason I said that is because even as inept as BJ is - at some point all AD's have to look at records against guality/ranked opponents and that is typically a strong factor in a firing decision. When you have a coach that is 0 for infinity in bowl games and vs. ranked opponents - I think BJ will be forced to pony up if Golden doesn't win at least 2 of those 3 games. Even if they pull off 7-8 wins overall.

I was just thinking of this game. Was postponed due to 9/11 and rescheduled to early December. That has to be one of my top-10 favorite games i've seen in the OB, not including FSU or uF.

I too think we start 4-0. I don't think we'll go 6-7 afterwards, but I don't think we have to stink up the joint that badly for Golden to be fired. Ending 8-4 after starting 4-0 means we don't sniff the Coastal. It also means we lost to every half decent team we played down the stretch.
