Nebraska loses starting safety and best linebacker

All depends on our OL... There are so many unknowns here. They could come out and be a straight up cluster****, or they could be REALLY good. Gotta hope we avoid the injuries and get Gadbois back in shape at right tackle. Our schedule is charmin soft and with a real staff we'd steamroll everyone.

Drawing FSU and Clemson is not soft.. add in Nebraska and GT and there are some quality teams. Gabois is key though..

I believe FSU will lose two to three games this season and would be more if they played a tough schedule. Not sold on Clemson either. GT could actually win the acc this season.

Nebraska is average at best. If we beat them, and that's a big if, it won't mean much once we get to ACC play and Golden does what he has been doing in conference.

They fired their coach who homeskooled Golden. The new coach is much better. If he has to pull white people out of the stands before the game to suit up, he will still roll us

difference in coaching staffs is flat out ridiculous and it will show on gameday, count on it.

Nebraska stunk with those guys. Of course, they stunk last year too and were missing even more players.

Their offense is basically only bringing back their QB (who is one of the worst passing QB's of any BCS conference team) and their defense is basically new as well. Toss in a new staff who on paper isn't really an upgrade over the former one and runs an offense that's the polar opposite of the last staff, you've got the recipe for an easy win. Granted we've got Golden and nothing is ever easy if it ever comes at all, but right now on paper, we've got this game. A loss would be a grounds for termination IMHO.

How does FSU being a "rebuilding" 3 loss team make that game easy? They are still the most talented team in the ACC. Game will probably be the ABC or ESPN night game with a sold out crowd. That isn't going to be easy environment.

Clemson has won 10+ games 4 years in a row with bowl wins against LSU, OSU, and Oklahoma. Are you not entertained? they are rebuilding their defense, but their offense will make up for that. Best QB and WR duo in the ACC, they will score plenty. Brent Venables is a big time DC too, and he has talent to work with.

Playing FSU, VT, and Clemson in a row isn't going to be easy. people will overlook VT because of the blowout last year, but their defense will be great and their offense should improve. That is a very difficult three game stretch for any team.

didn't last year that one dimensional team lose half of their defensive back field before we played them! Coaching friends. We allowed this one dimensional team to run the ball like 50 times and their rb to run for 300 yards sitting back in some bull crap prevent type defense!!! Sorry they could lose everybody and play with Miami Krop players, still holding my breathe as long as this staff calling plays!!!

@Jpickens15: Mattyports 5dimes has odds up for 3 of Miami's first 4 games.
Miami -16.5 at FAU
Miami -1 vs Nebraska
Miami PK at Cincinnati

And just 'cause these here tales is 'bout critters like Br'er Rabbit an' Br'er Fox, that don't mean they ain't the same like can happen to folks!
