He was I’m just saying this guy as a depth piece is fine for me. Was never expecting any sort of difference maker by a dude from Nebraska. I’m prob not picking up on the conversation, he is what he is :)

My expectation is that he has 3-4 sacks on the year with 1.5 coming against duke with 6 minutes left in the 4th

Yeah, we’re saying the same thing…I’m just a bit more direct. Lol. I’ve watched his games, & don’t expect anything spectacular. He’s a good depth piece, rotational guy, but he’s highly unlikely to challenge for a starting job, not w who we already have.

He's gonna be competing with Stancil for DT 5 here next yr. Well I think Blount should primarily be SDE, so maybe you can say DT4... But Blount will still rotate in at DT on rush downs like we had Mesidor...

Do you think a player can't be a starter at one position and be a rotational guy at another?

Do you think it's possible to play multiple guys at Edge rotating in and out and when that happens having Blount slide inside?

That has to be the lamest comment you could have made. Lol

Blount wont have to slide inside much if we have...........Keona Davis. They are the same....saying dude is competing with Stancil for 5th dt is just wrong. They aint get dude out of the portal to do that.

Again he is gonna play alot.
 
Looks like a high upside depth piece with a little positional versatility. Has size and good motor. He will save Blount from being overutilized inside.

DT1's: Moten & Scott
DT2's: Carter, Davis, Blount (situational)
DT3's: Stancil & Newton
Redshirt candidates: Nagle, Bacon, Sainteus, and the Delaware kid.

I agree he will play a lot.

But you could make the same statement regarding Stancil lol. He was our top DLine recruit along with Asharri.... They have high expectations out of him. Bet they aren't making substantially different amounts of nil. TBD if they will be immediate returns like we should expect out of Davis.


But I also disagree that Blount won't slide in just cause of Davis. I think Blount will be SDE and be used the same way Mesidor was on rush situations. Lightfoot in Blount slides down.

Possible on the bolded.

I think on passing downs this kid plays Blount role from this year and Blount stays outside. Lightfoot checks in to the same role he had this year.

Stancil was a great pick up...he will need the s&c alot and step up in comp. I dont think he shirts unless injured but im expecting him to be brought in sparingly.

I disagree, I think Damon Wilson and Lightfoot will CLEARLY be the best pure pass rushers on this team and will be the primary rush edges
