Blount is Bain.
Wilson is Mesidor
Davis is what Blount did
Lightfoot is Lightfoot.

Would have to see who wins the SDE spot between Blount n Lowe.

Will be interesting to see what we do with Blount. I think he’ll stay at DT.

100 percent. This is the best part of the Davis pickup. Him and Carter can provide rotational depth, freeing up Blount to set the edge at DE. We have pieces.

Uh you do know that the majority of pure rush snaps where we made substitutions Mesidor slid inside and Bain stayed outside right?

Yeah Blount is filling Bains role ...except in pure rush situations, itll absolutely be Blount sliding inside for Lightfoot to come in.
 
Between landing this kid from nebraska and the kid from Ohio st, i feel like we are upgrading our DL depth. The Mizzou kid is a very good starter but who knows how much of a drop off we get going from Mesidor to him. Our DL could potentially be better in 2026 if some guys pan out. Losing Bain hurts for sure. He is elite. But Scott/Blount/Lightfoot/Hayden lowe and others will only get better under Taylor/Lewis coaching.

I don’t think Wilson will be a downgrade on Messidor whatsoever. Where I do think we will see a major difference is our DEs ability to stop the run. I think our DT is definitely going to be better. Just wish we had a better LB core is all.

I get the sense Heatherman really loves the LB core. They got Toure, Smith, Willey, Bonner and Pruitt. The staff has already raved about Justin Edwards. There is a reason we weren't aggressive in the portal for lbs

Blount is also 18 and might put on weight , thus kick inside permanently

They actually gave him a 4* 92 rating, for whatever that’s worth.
