They gave up TDs on two OT possessions

This kind of late game performance would have this place screaming for literally everyone's head if it were our coaches and players.

Well, do u wanna talk about how often Clemson was screwed this game? Lol. U wanna talk about how the refs completely botched Clemson’s last drive, giving ND extra time? I mean, let’s not act like ND wasn’t given some help, including giving them a fresh set of downs and better field position in OT after a ticky tack “roughing the passer call.” It was a **** poor officiated game.

Maybe u have an ax to grind w Clemson; I don’t know. What I do know is that Clemson was playing w a back up true freshman QB, on the road, missing several KEY players. However, I’m not diminishing the fact that Clemson played that last 2 minutes poorly, and yes, that is on them.

No axe to grind. It sickens me to type the words Notre Dame deserved to win!

They played their *** off...but that OL is beastly. This is y I’ve said, and u know I’ve said for yrs that we need to get our trench game up. Quality DTs, and OLs are absolutely necessary! ND showed exactly that.

On our way with the DTs at least and with Rivers and Walker we are looking better there too.

I wanna get to a point where we’re not playing kids out of position. We need to recruit true tackles, true guards, and true C’s.

Imo ND outplayed them last night and had some bad **** happen at awful times , like fumbling going in for a score. I thought they won the trenches. There’s a ways to go but I never took them serious at all but their lines might be better than I thought. Holding Entienne to that amount of yards is crazy.

That bring said I wouldn’t be shocked if they dropped a game or two , especially unc. Still being up from this game.
 
Clemson was missing a few guys and Lawrence is great but the freshman played outstanding replacing him.

i definitely agree that Clemson wins 7-8 out of 10 times they play but last night Notre Dame did win the line of scrimmage and deserved to win.

They are a good but not an elite team.
 
ND played their assez off. They won.

But, I do think they could very well lose a game before seeing Clemson again. And if they still make the ACCCG.

Clemson will win the second matchup.
 
What ND did was take away the best player on the field Etienne. We faced the best QB possibly one of the best ever Trevor Lawrence and Etienne. To ND's credit they accomplished that task. By the way, Clemson was also missing 3 defensive starters and during the game lost Lannden (Zanders) early, lost Nolan (Turner), lost (Andrew) Booth, and lost (Bryan) Bresee. Oh, and ND was at home. The corona virus and injuries decimated Clemson, no matter how much talent you stack up you cannot afford to lose 7 defensive starters and expect the same quality and Trevor, well we know how good he is...by the way too, we had 10 players out against NC ST and all year we've been missing the best DE in all of college football..Greg R. Wish he was on the team right now, Greg would improve our defense dramatically.

Notre Dame had a gameplan they won. We didn’t and got smashed. If we played Clemson with all those players missing with this coaching staff they still smash us.
