ND is in

I mean, while I would have swapped out Clemson for ND, I don't think the outcome would have been different. FSU got them both on the schedule but didn't want them both.

You've seen our team this year. We crush subpar teams, struggle against average teams and get stomped by a team like Clemson. No season is perfect, but man does our schedule look better than it did in June. Michigan State was our toughest opponent. Good luck getting into the top 4 with that schedule.

Miami players would be on their "A game" for ND because they are a hated rival. Maybe the most hated. It's just like most games between Canes and FSU, the records usually didn't matter. Both teams knew they were coming for blood. Miami has no real history with Clemson except an *** kicking and Clemson is one of the most dominant programs of the last decade. You could tell Miami played scared. On the flip side, Miami players know they can beat Book and ND because they have done it before and Manny Diaz took Brian Kellys lunch money. Psychology is a big part of football. A Miami team that felt disrespected by ND is more than capable of beating them as we've done it before. It's sad you believe so little in the team you claim to support.

I have no problem with ND and Clemson in ACCGC. The last thing I want to see is Clemson curb stomp us again. We need to stay in our weight class.

They should have been on their "A game" against Clemson. Then they would have had a chance to play ND in the ACC game. That's life.

Miami can brings it's "A" game—it still has a D-level offensive line.

There's a reason Clemson rolled the Canes and a reason Virginia and Virginia Tech defenses held Miami in check, for the most part, as well.

Notre Dame's defense would've given Miami's line fits this year—and anyone pointing to 2017 is off their rocker, as that Canes team had better top to bottom talent. Please.

J. Johnson, Redwine, McIntosh, Norton, Jackson, Quarterman, Pinckney, et al on defense—a go-to like Berrios and a young Richards at receiver, Njoku at tight end—McDermott, St. Louis, Darling, Jones, Gauthier on the offensive line.

Miami was 6-7 last year and an embarrassing 13-16 dating back to the end of that 2017 season. This team is 7-1 right now because of D'Eriq King and would be 5-3 or 4-4 right now without him.

Appreciate this season for what it is and hope that Diaz can take another step forward in 2021—but don't confuse it with Miami being a legit contender in the ACC this year. Clemson is the cream of the crop and sadly Notre Dame is the second-best. Tigers win by double digits in ACC title game.

So do you think FSU has a better OL than Miami? ND's D, at home, gave up 24 points and 400+ yards to them. Boston College's offense is 81st in points scored, and ND gave up 31 points, and nearly 300 yards passing. Why did ND have such a tough time keeping them out of the end zone?

Remember in 2017 when ND's OL was going to steamroll us? I sure do.

If we can't be in the playoffs, I just hope ND, UF, and OSU aren't either.

UF is in if they beat bama. ND prolly gets in no matter what. OSU is gonna be a big question mark if more games are cancelled

Yeah, our kids need to start treating Clemson like ND then. It's Clemson who we need to knock of the perch.

UF isn't beating Bama. No chance. The committee will try to find a way to get OSU in. I think it comes down to how badly Clemson beats down ND in the acc championship. If it's a slaughter like I think it will be, A&M will get the #4 spot over ND. I know everyone thinks ND is an irresistible choice for the playoff committee, but A&M is the #1 highest revenue program in CFB.

Cant leave out the most valuable team in the country.

I‘m HOPING they beat Bama. It’s the only way 2 SEC teams make it in. And this year, I’m hoping for 2 SEC teams, Clemson and OSU. So if Miami is knocked out of the Orange Bowl, that’s all right. But, for the CFP…

I can't root for UF. And I think that two SEC teams get in if Clemson obliterates ND. A&Ms only loss was to #1 Bama. If Notre Dame loses big to #4 Clemson, then I can't see how A&M won't jump them.

Your faith in fairness is greater than mine. 1-loss…they’ll get in over A&M. It’s a lock.

the records of teams they’ve played? 36-46. The record of teams Miami has played? 37-34. Yet, there are “fans”, ostensibly of Miami, saying that Miami hasn’t played anyone and implying they have. They scored 12 points against Louisville and the entire media has them at #2?

I want Bama to crush gators. I want Clemson to crush ND. I want Michigan to FSU-COVID OSU so it only plays 5 games and fails to qualify for the Big 10 championship game and college football playoffs. I want Cinn and BYU to get in and one to win the championship. But, of course most of that will not happen.

If over any other program, I'd agree. But A&M is the #1 most valuable team in CFB. You can't leave out a money machine like that. First the SEC would raise ****, and the NCAA wouldn't want to **** off their golden goose. Second, you'll REALLY see the media's SEC love affair play out on national tv. The talking heads on ESPN and Fox would suddenly be talking about how ND's earlier victory over Clemson should be discounted because it wasn't against a healthy Clemson team (which is what a lot of have been saying, so then you'll see the media backing that up). Fair or unfair, they'll point to ND getting smashed in the ACC championship (going to happen) as evidence of what would have happened if TL had been at the helm earlier, and the committee will use that as justification to bring in 1 loss A&M over 1 loss ND.
