Do not see how The NCAA will punish Miami that badly. The NCAA has said they will start to go after the violators involved in these investigations.AD Shawn Eichorst,President Shalala and Al Golden have done a lot of things lately to help our case, they initiated the bowl ban, they stopped boosters from being allowed on the sidelines, they told current players they cannot make any contact with agents until after they finish their UM career unless a special meeting is granted with Eichorst and Golden is present.

The NCAA hopefully goes after the coaches involved,AD Hocutt & Shapiro. The 72 players named,60 of them refused to talk, and the 12 that got punished didn't we only have to suspend 8? 4 of the players involved had less than 100 bucks given or whatever. This is all a big sensational story, the suspended players from last year took less money than North Carolina,Ohio State sellers & Reggie Bush. The current staff didn't know about the problem and AD Shawn Eichorst comes from a very well respected program in Wisconsin.

I'm no expert but Death Penalty would be a shockingly cruel thing to do,look for another year without a bowl and some schollies taken away.

"Some" schollies being the key. Take away enough schollies and it's basically the death penalty. There is no way we are competing for championships with a depleted roster.

Completely agree with you Sugar. But we can be competitive like USC has with the talent Golden has started to acquire.Be back in time to Dominate in 2 or 3 years.

Too many here think we can be competitive with a major hit. No way. This team is already depleted depth wise. We are on thin ice.

I can't believe the abuse this program has been undergoing and is about to undergo. I hope it wouldn't have been wiser in keeping Shannon; a disaster of an HC coach to get us through the upcoming disaster that might await. Would be a shame to waste a potentially good coach that Golden promises to be.

You have an interesting difficulty with honoring the price of another person's work & effort.
