NAME YOUR DC FOR NEXT YEAR

He should part ways but he won't that's his guy and we are 6-1.

It should be the guy from Cincy but Baker will be here next year. Diaz had the quick hand on offense but for some reason he lets the defensive coaches do whatever they want...even if it's half the job not being done. That means one **** thing imo.... everything on defense gets approved by him.
C'mon D. Play along. Go back and read the question and just play along. You are well respected and we want to know who you would like to have.

Problem would be, it's Manny's defense. Unless Manny is comfortable with a DC putting his own defense in (and any DC worth a **** would insist on installing his own defense, I would) , you're going to have to put in a guy that will run Diaz's defense his way.
That's the thing...how is it Manny's defense?!? Manny played an aggressive man defense the first 3 years here at UM for the most part. This is some baby shít soft zone defense with a blitz on every 3rd down regardless of situation. This is not Manny's defense, that's the problem. Manny needs to dictate and micro manage Baker to run his defense, or pink slip Baker bc why are you paying a DC that you have to take the reins from routinely due to shoddy performances.

Personally, I never liked Manny’s defense. It is good but not top notch or championship caliber. Good enough to win many games, but not championship. Too gimmicky and blitz heavy. Poor pass defense and tackling. Concedes too many big plays and penalties. Not disciplinarily sound, and often reckless.

Manny, must summon enough self confidence and completely hand over the defense to a competent DC. The new DC absolutely should be left to run his own scheme without interference from Manny. Manny should focus on being the best CEO and game day coach that he can ever be. He will fail if he insists on keeping Baker or interfering with the defense.
