NAME YOUR DC FOR NEXT YEAR

👆 this is what will happen. Nobody worth a **** is gonna come run Manny's defense, and we won't spend money on a GOOD DC.
Think you underestimate Manny's willingness to make changes if he needs to. He canned practically the entire offensive staff after 1 year

If by some miracle Baker gets fired, it's almost certainly going to be Banda taking over, unfortunately. Although this year they are both co-DC so should both be held responsible. No idea have you can fire Baker and promote Banda after this.

Problem would be, it's Manny's defense. Unless Manny is comfortable with a DC putting his own defense in (and any DC worth a **** would insist on installing his own defense, I would) , you're going to have to put in a guy that will run Diaz's defense his way.
Don’t think manny has a problem with a guy running their system. As long as it fits what his wants to bring in as personnel. Last night was the first time under Diaz I remember seeing as many chunk/explosive plays given up. H is JHH had a tough night in his first start. 79 from NC STATE is the Real Deal and handled Roche. Our LBs are not filling the A and B gap quick enough. If the D continues like this there is no question Manny will make a change on that side of the ball. He’s already shown that’s not a issue with him

Brown seems rather unhappy and get the sense he's tired of bringing scapegoated. I think he'd happily leave Meechigan if the money was right.
I admit, I haven't followed Michigan closely this year or last, how has their defense been?

“We’re 6-1 bro. Why would we fire anybody when we’re playoff contenders? Just gotta best Clemson in the ACC championship. We can do it.”

Manny wont fire his boy. And it will be his downfall like Golden’s downfall was not firing D’Onfrio. Baker calls a crappy game, Patke garbage LB play, and Banda can recruit but safeties are soft.

Yeah he's an interesting one. Saban and Kirby swear by him seems like. Bound to get an opportunity somewhere. Is he too young and inexperienced though? Or is this a future Joe Brady? That would be a high risk, high reward type of hire.
A guy with already the responsibility coaching and recruiting like he has given his age in those defenses is less a risk than most guys more than likely. He already has a lot more seasoning than Brady ever did before going to LSU.

Why not bring in Corey Raymond to replace Rumph, remove Baker entirely, and give him a Co-Dc title and just have Manny run his defense? That hits two birds with one stone. We replace Rumph who is severely lackluster on the recruiting trail and not a good developer with an elite recruiter/position coach, and get rid of Baker. This would work financially too.
