My Post game recap

I could accept this loss if Perry, Weldon, or Williams were the starter. I would hope they would play better, but would understand growing pains from a young, albeit talented QB. Highlight plays followed by mistakes of inexperience.

Rosier is not acceptable.

I'd love to hear someone ******* defend Richt starting Rosier over any of the 3 freshman right ******* now. ******* BS. I literally said this bs was going to happen.
those fake *** punks who talked that **** about him improving, taking leadership role, and giving us the best chance to win ain't coming on here after that performance. you and i took a lot of heat from them Nosier cheerleaders chicks. ****ers throwing out stats and calling him one of the greatest Canes qbs ever, BULLSH1T... CMR leading the hype train for that retread and how he just understands the offense and knows what to do in every scenario. Their the coaches, they know whats best for the team bs. And that's why coaches get fired every year, stubborn and think they know it all

Yeah I forget to mention Searels but he's been at the top of my sh*t list for awhile now.

Yeah, His insistence on the OTs first step being lateral is maddening, that's how TSL got beat on Rosier's 2nd INT.

Even McKinnie played perpedicular to the LOS on pass pro, and He's the best LT we ever had.

Stubborn. Rosier is the perfect crutch to keep any heat off you because you can just say he's the best we got right now & if he sucks he can just blame it on the previous coaching staff because he didn't recruit Rosier.

People on this board fought tooth & nail with me in the Spring, I said back then Richt will stick with Rosier no matter what, even if we get blown out by LSU. People swore up & down it as all the young QB's to take the QB1 spot from Rosier but there was literally nothing they could do, even if they were perfect in practice Rosier was still going to be the guy.

Now, Perry gets suspended & Weldon/Jarren haven't had any 1st team reps, so they're behind the 8ball in a rigid slow developing Offense that doesn't make it any easier on them. Idgaf how "complicated" Richt's offense supposedly is, help the got **** QB's out by simplifying the reads & getting the ball out of their hands quicker.

I gotta tell you, I'm real sick of hearing that the young guys, "don't know the playbook".... What ******* playbook??? Same crap over and over, game to game and your starter is below 50% passing, again. What is there to lose? I'm with you, make moves and put someone else in there.

This is that CIS nonsense that’s nothing more than sticking ones head in the sand. Call a coach incompetent that just waxed Miami while holding on to one of the best CB coaches, reversing himself and going back to his OC, and paying his DC 2.5 mil. That’s brilliant, not incompetent. Because coaching won that game. And you say that while coddling Richt and assailing HIS assistants. Makes no sense.

Then Call LSU average when they would have done the same thing to any ACC team not named Clemson? Dumb. Especially when LSU have recruited more talent than just about any team in America.
Coddle Richt??? Must of missed the part where I said this all falls on him, must've of also missed the part where I literally wrote paragraphs criticizing Richt as a OC & his bad coaching hires.

Burrow was just as bad as Rosier, and they blew us out.
Burrow was not “just as bad” as Rosier, even tho burrow went 11/24, if you don’t count those batted balls from our d-line it could’ve easily been 13/24 most importantly he didn’t turn over the ball, Malik did 2x, he was more accurate on intermediate passes than Malik, he read the field better than Malik did, he didn’t make one reads and forced passes unlike Malik who threw an INT directly to the Linebacker who dropped back in coverage. Burrow is a scrub and the fact that he outplayed our best QB is a disgrace on both Richt jr and Rosier part

Yet lost at home to Troy last season.

Sam Hartman at Wake Forest just went 31/51 387yds & 2TD's in his first ever, JT Daniels was 22/35 286yds & 1TD, Zack Annestad a walk-on at Minnesota went 16-33 220yds & 2TD's, **** even DTR came in during the 2nd half for UCLA after Speight got hurt & went 15-25 for 117yds.

All True Freshman who somehow figured out their playbook lol.

It's up to the QB coach to teach the QB's the offense. I remember watching the UF game and hearing Tebow ramble on and on yesterday. The one coherent thing that **** sucker said was that Mullen would focus specifically on what you (the QB) was good at and call plays designed around your strengths. Once you started getting a grasp on the offense, he'd start throwing more things at you. Seems like something we should be doing.

Nosier is not good at anything to start off with, but yeah that's the smart way to qb development

This board has very dedicated administrators but they overrate the caliber of players and team we have, and it spreads to the board in general. I've posted that theme many times so I don't mind doing it now, although obviously it won't come across well.

Beyond anything, there is no reason to sample this site for football purposes after national signing day. Otherwise you are going to get swamped with inflationary summation on one variable after another. That's why I stay away, other than brief hit and run glimpses perhaps once every other month.

I was worried the line of scrimmage realities might unfold like that. I've seen it countless times with top tier SEC teams who have been near the top of recruiting rankings year after year but for whatever reason are now considered in downer mode. Notice that the analysts who took more of a wide scope long term view fared much better than the ones fixated on recency and conventional wisdom. That game had some similarities to the LSU/Louisville bowl game two years ago, when another ACC team was shoved around in the trenches by rugged superior NFL-looking athletes throughout the game, and the Heisman Trophy quarterback made to look very foolish. Lamar Jackson only put up 9 points.

I remember Poptimus and I talking about this game early in the calendar year, saying LSU could or should be favored based on that talent edge. I'm very surprised it was pushed all the way to Miami beyond a field goal.

I don't mind this result so much because the Canes will now be underrated in some games later in the season. We can definitely out class some teams in our conference, especially as short favorites on the road. The problem is the ongoing pretend mode that we will restore to national championship level. I continue to believe I'll never see that again.

When we play Alabama in a couple of years our offensive linemen are still going to look like today's clods, and their defensive linemen are still going to look like marauders. No reason to believe otherwise, although I'm sure the Happy Adjusters will take it in the other direction as soon as the Canes look surprisingly great or Alabama struggles for a quarter or two.

Good assessment El, sorry you had to write that after that sh*t stain of a game. Man it looked like Golden was our HC and Dorito the DC. CB’s played WAY too far off their receivers none of whom scared anyone. Brossette rans better than Homer, Dallas played well but didn’t get the ball enough. Where were screens, wheel routes, throwing to the RB’s out in the flats? It’s as if we reverted back to a HS level offense....and Rosier couldn’t even manage and execute that pathetic attempt at play calling. I pray Richt throws that film away, retools the offense, removes Rosier at QB and have him hold the clipboard even against Savannah St, and force Manny to revamp his stupid a** blitzes so exotic a monkey could’ve figured them out (cuz I sure did), and get the kids focused forward and not backwards at this game. It will serve them no good trying to wrap their heads around that debacle. AR82 getting benched for calling out Rosier I pray doesn’t make him wanna transfer. The only kudos go to Willis, Dallas, J.T., and Hightower. My god did you all see Brevin open like every single **** time he ran a route? Smdh

It blows my mind how blind people were to the defensive deficiencies while the turnover chain was glistening in their face.

Many Diaz is, and always has been a coach with a style designed for stupid fans, not winning at a high level.

Manny Diaz defense is predicated on keeping an offense behind the sticks (2nd and long, 3rd and long) with a short field due to the HORRIBLE punts (tf does Feagles do at practice talk and drink water all **** day). They were destined to put up points especially with all the **** rotating

Garvin played decent.
Joe Jackson is a one trick pony (only has a bullrush)
Linebackers out of gaps most of the night... not thrilled out run fits
DL played decent enough to win (kudos Willis decided to come back)
CB were too far off the ball. Didn't attack at the breaks of the route.. let receivers stack them, didn't turn their heads. Dean dropped an easily INT that could have given us big momentum. Bandy out for targeting (look at highlights it looks like targeting)
S nothing special Redwine looked liked Redwinish

Offense see what you said. Not even going to waste my time.
Richt is exactly who I thought he was. A bible thumper conservative who is gonna go down his way. 9-10 win seasons and that's his polite ceiling. Enjoy your labor day tomorrow. I know this hurts and we are actually in for a long season. Buckle in this is not for the faint of heart.

Stop subbing so **** much on defense too, sh*t put us behind the 8 ball early on 2 backup linebackers and ******* Robert knowles was on the field when they had that 50 yard td run...

And I swear all these other elite defenses don’t sub like we do so what’s the ******* problem?

Stats: Malik Rosier - 15/35 259yds 42.8%cmp 1TD pass 2INT's, 16 carries 7yds rushing & 1TD
Deejay Dallas - 8att 38yds rush
Travis Homer - 7att 30yds rush
Jeff Thomas - 5rec 132yds
Lawrence Cager - 2rec 42yds
Brian Hightower - 1rec 32yds 1Td

Only 83yds total rushing on Offense & 11 penalties for 85yds

LSU: Joe Burrow - 11/24 140yds 0TD's
Nick Brosette - 22att 125yds 2TD's

Defense gave up 156yds total rushing.

First let me start off by holding my L for Defending Manny & the Defense this offseason, I thought they would improve, but I was 100% wrong. Manny needs to go, unless we can get this thing turned around & go on a 12 game win streak, I've seen enough of Manny's Defense to know that he hit his peak last year & I don't see a whole lot of improvement going forward. Our pass rush/run Defense is non existent & our Pass Defense is equally as bad. I understand he's not going to be fired this season, but at the end of the year we need to find another option. No excuses.

Now... This god forsaken Offense needs to be overhauled, I was saying it all last year & this offseason, and I'm going to say it again, this Offense is archaic & predictable. The refusal to develop any of the young QB's reared its ugly head, Rosier is simply not the answer.

For the Fundamentalists who defended Rosier at every turn this offseason, I look forward to the continued excuse making. Those INT's were not his fault, that pick 6 wasn't his fault right? None of those overthrown balls when he had time were his fault either right?

Major programs all around college football are starting True & Redshirt Freshman, because they have actual OC's & QB coaches that can get them ready. And don't for 1sec try to tell me he won the QB competition fair & square, there was no QB comp, you can't get the young guys ready if you give all the 1st team reps to one guy. I don't expect us to get blown out like this again (I hope not), but I can see us losing at least 2 possibly 3 more games this season if we don't galvanize this team & wake them the fck up.

Maybe a QB change would do the trick, but if Richt sticks with Rosier come **** or high water (like I said he would back in the Spring), I hope he learns a valuable lesson about betting the house on an inaccurate 5th year Senior & refusing to adjust the Offense to fit our personnel.

We are a Spread Option team, we do not have the OL needed to run this long vertical Offense that is predicated on nothing but Deep ball throws & we don't have the OL necessary of being a traditional power run team. We need to run an Uptempo high octane Offense with a quick passing/rushing attack. Frost didn't beat anybody off talent alone last year, he killed teams with scheme that is centered around High-speed pace keeping Defenses off balance & shortening the field for his QB, which also opens up the run game.

Ultimately this all falls on Richt. He hired a bunch of questionable assistants with very little experience. I like all our Coaches, but no amount of burying your head in the sand can deny that our team has been out-coached in these big moments. This is now two 4 game losing streaks in the Richt era, can't keep doing the same thing over & over again expecting different results.

We need an OC, a REAL QB coach & a Special Teams Coach (Hartley just coach TE's & recruit). And Richt needs to quit hiring High School & inexperienced coaches expecting them to learn on the job. It was a fxckin embarrassment to get taken out behind the woodshed by an incompetent dope like Eddie Orgeron, can't let this happen again in ACC play this year, Richt better snap the **** out of it & get this team ready to go by 9/15 & 9/27, cannot afford to play like dogsh*t anymore.

On the bright side, Jeff Thomas, Deejay Dallas & Brian Hightower were the only ones who showed up tonight, those young guys played like they actually gave a ****. But otherwise, just about everybody else got smacked around & looked completely outmatched vs an average LSU team missing several key starters. This is not Miami football & it needs to be fixed immediately.

Correct! If you play the same scheme over and over again teams soon adapt to it and stop you.
