Testaverde wasn't a multi-platform thrower.

He wasn't changing arm angles & making cross body throws off one foot while under duress.

He was also significantly less accurate.
 
Disagree that Buchanon would have excelled in the nickel, at least in today’s game. But hard to argue elsewhere

Recency Bias has me leaning towards Mauigoa at RT

There was McKinnie, Sean Taylor, Shockey, Rolle (I know a couple of them were back-up freshman) from that 01 squad

No, Cam Ward was one of one. Vinny still probably had the stronger arm.

Safety isn't such a no-brainer to me.

- Consensus All-American for two consecutive years
- 19 career interceptions (2nd all-time behind Ed Reed)

I'd be tempted to bump Sean Taylor down in favor of Blades, but I'm an old fart.

Pitt had some beastly teams in the 70s and early 80s.

I remember John Madden gathered in the locker room during NFL TODAY show his ALL MADDEN all time team.

It was the coolest thing seeing all the greatest ever in one place sitting there Madden in the midst of these hall of fame players he hand picked.

But there was one missing Ray Guy greatest punter of all time, so the reporter ask Madden why isn’t Ray Guy here ?

John Madden:

Look around you at the players surrounding you in this locker room , WE DON’T PUNT !

Reporter sat down quietly next to Larry Csonka .

From a pure arm strength pov, Vinny wins. He and morris have the strongest arms in program history imo.

I don’t think that’s the point LCE was going for, though.
 
Gore was a better all-around back in the pros, and would have been so here, if not for injuries.
