My Guess on How Teams Enticing SOFL players

I love the myth that there's nothing to do in towns like G-Ville and Tally.

If you're a football player, there's several things to do...every night. They're called Becky, Lisa and Cindy.

Yeah we have South Beach and beautiful women, but that **** doesn't cater to a college athlete. What good is having gorgeous women when they're not even paying attention to you? What good is having tons of nightclubs when you can't even afford to enjoy them?

Disagree. You can pull those same college girls at UM, FSU, UF or any campus.

Those model dime pieces normally don't exist in those cities and aren't ******* kids at Alabama, LSU, or any other top program. Those same ****** type of night clubs in Gainesville and tally have always been accessible to Miami players. Even back in the early 2000's, you would see freshman and sophomores from Miami and even some FIU players at Moes (thursday), Oxygen, the club that was renamed after 609, and some on the beach. Kids were always at strip clubs, too.

The only difference is you're more likely to be known at any part of town in Gainesville, Columbus, or Athens if you're a college player. And, that's not always a good thing.

UF and FSU's female student body > Miami's female student body

G-ville and Tallahassee women < Miami women

Point I'm making is...

Those "hot Miami women" that everybody is referring to don't attend UM and they have no interest in UM players. On the flip side, **** near every hot woman in G-Ville or Tally has interest in UF/FSU football players.

UM players aren't going into Club LIV (or whatever club is hot these days, I have no clue) and pulling dime pieces. They're competing with pro athletes, drug dealers and musicians.

I agree.

However, there's a lot more to do outside of campus in Miami, than in those small college towns. You can pull those same quality girls that you find in Tally/Gainesville in any of the hangout spots.

Remember girls from UM, FIU, Miami-Dade, etc...all hang out at the same spots THAT ARE OUTSIDE OF CAMPUS. It's just a slight inconvenience when compared to posting up at the student center. Those girls look as good, if not better than what you would see in those college towns.

Most college football players, if any, aren't pulling "hot Miami women" types.

IDK Coach Macho, maybe they're competing with athletes & musicians, but I don't think they're competing with the dope boys. Objectively speaking, I think these broads now-a-days want a cat with a future.

I hear you...but I think you're giving these dumb broads more credit than they deserve. LOL

I mean, you're not wrong, I just think there's a plethora of gold diggers to go around in Miami and I'm sure plenty of them filter down to the dope boys.

Shoot...

You got me wanting to call out of work and go down there right now.

It really depends what kind of scene you're into. When I first went to college (UCF) I liked the local college scene. When you're 18, you have to go to the all ages type places. However, that go old fast. After my freshman year, I stopped going to the ****** college bars and started hanging out in more of the downtown Orlando bars and music venues. If you're in a small college town, you have no option. It's either the ****** college bars or Billy Bob's chewing tobacco emporium. Some people prefer the options big city living affords.

I think a lot of the posters are right.

It's a way better experience going to other schools than Miami.

I'm thinking this is banner material.

I will say this...

There definitely are some things that you can do in Miami that you can't do in most college towns.

I know Linder, Feliciano and McDermott used to go deep sea fishing all the time. That's definitely not something you can do in Tally or G-Ville.
You can trek down to the Keys for a day or two.
Also, going to school in Miami is like living in a permanent Spring Break destination. The whole month of March, other college's students are coming into YOUR town to party. I think that's pretty unique. Nobody's traveling to G-Ville or Tally for Spring Break.

I can definitely see how it would be attractive to an outsider. At the same time, if you spent the first 18 years of your life around this place I can totally see how it would be intriguing to try somewhere else for 3 or 4 years.

"Come to Alabama and I will promise you full immunity from any and all criminal charges, even if it happens out of state. If thats not enough, we will also throw in a Chevrolet of your choice while you are on campus and cover your family's rent and electric. And we can also fully guarantee that Emmert and co. will never come knocking on your door." - Nick Saban

Only on a UM board will you see a majority of the home team's fans trying to convince everyone why **** fck *** Gainesville and Tallahassee are better places than Miami.

This is why it's tough for Richt to get a great foothold quickly down here. Too many detached quibblers looking for reasons to **** talk their own area in favor of ****** redneck towns where they have no interest moving to.

The cool thing has become for adults to trash the area and the local school and glorify other areas where they could live if they really wanted to.

Moar homers needed. I doubt you hear too many of the rednecks extolling the virtues of UM and Coral Gables especially on their own message boards.

This thread is an embarrassment, an abomination and the OP should be shamed and ridiculed to the fullest extent of the interwebs. Also, it is rubbish.
The self-hating, insecure 'Canes fan needs to go the way of the dodo bird. Sack up gents. These are great days we're living bros, we're Jolly Green Giants walking the earth with footballs. This is Miami. We live where everyone else longs to vacation. Lets start acting like it.

No no no.

We have the cool guys saying that other places are better and provide a better college experience, because you know they themselves have had college experiences at Miami and at the other colleges as well.

Or we just could have a bunch of silly motherfūckers talking shït about a school they're supposedly fans of.

I agree with OP on #3 ...
3. Miami's focus is not on football or the players, you cane see it, look at the facilities. We'll take care of you and we have the best facilities.

Stop looking at the elephant in the room named "lack of an on, or approximate to campus stadium", and squintin' ya' eyes and make believing that elephant's a chihuahua.

Utterly embarassing that a 5X NC has to play in an NFL stadium miles away from campus.

Might be a red herring, but can anybody name me one CFB team, that plays in an NFL stadium, that's won a NC?...just one?...zero?...THOUGHT SO!

You can add this to the list:

8. A fan base with cvnt fans that start and enthusiastically contribute to threads on fan sites that give reasons for recruits NOT to come to Miami.

Yeah, sure.

I supported Golden just like I support fans telling recruits on message boards not to come to our school.

Or we're just being honest and objective instead of the "everything Miami is the best" booger-eating fan.

Sure. Honest and objective based on what?

So you're saying that it's better at other campuses is a fact. Ok, chief, got it.

Thanks for straightening me out. I've seen the light.

So you're saying that it's better at other campuses is a fact.

At campuses with on campus stadiums?...yes.

But only you & your ilk think it's OK for a 5X NC not to have their own stadium.

And nobody's telling kids not to go to UM, nobody has to.

According to your logic, as much as Richt b!tches & gripes about the lack of an IPF, even He's telling kids not to go to UM...according to your logic.
