moving forward, do we give Jacurri the rest of the snaps?

Jacurri should start against Clemson.

There's no way I'll be convinced that TVD is 100% for Clemson, and I seriously doubt he'd make it through that game without re-aggravating. Let him get fully healthy before playing again.

If TVD wants to protect his shoulder (which I personally think has been a mindset already on display) then he actually should welcome Jacurri taking snaps in special packages where the QB might be more susceptible to getting hit.

Nah, game manager of a boring *** offense.

The future at QB needs more, but kudos to him for not turning it over.

I know that maybe comes across as cold, but where do you want to see this team go? He's very limited and well, it was GT. Kid worked within his skill set and it resulted in a win. No complaints, just calling it like I see it.

I joke that Madden's recommended plays offer more variety than Gattis playbook. But at this point its true. Even Richt didn't call this many draws on 1st down. I've never seen anything like what Gattis is doing.

I saw one play where the entire offense was lined up ready to go except for the RB and Jacurri. Those two were looking at the sidelines for the play. After they got it, neither Jacurri or the RB relayed the play to the other 9 guys on the field.

In other words, everyone already knew it was going to be a run. Including the D. Those 2 were just looking to see which one would get it. And shocker.. it was a run up the middle that went

You missed this post? Gattis is an offensive genius!!

He has to improve at just dropping back and passing on time down the field. He can make the swing passes and he can pass on the run. But much of the success of football is being able to pass on time. But that won’t happen this year but needs to be a goal for next year. This year he will be a great competitor because that is how he is. He will make some plays but the key is no turnovers because that a lot of good decisions.

We won 10 games with a worse version of Brown. Imagine how much more effective he could be if the defense wasn't told he was going to run the ball.

Guy deserves to enjoy the day and seems to have a fantastic attitude. Nice interview at the end.

I'm just going to leave it at that. Seems fair on a day he should be celebrating a win.

Worse version at running the ball, but I'd disagree on the other important trait for a QB.

Edit - **** it, must stay positive.

I’ve watched two games today featuring high scoring teams, OSU & UO; the play by play guys both stated that their offenses “start” w/ the run. In particular, during this UW v. UO game, it was stated that Lanning loves running the ball.

I got very spooked hearing Mario after last game’s debacle state, it starts w/ the run. The difference between those teams & us have been the hogs up front & the threat of a running QB. Today, 1 of those 2 issues were band aid over. Jacurri’s threat to run led to better flow. The Offense still needs an overhaul, but seeing the pup not folding in the moment was awesome & gave a new dimension to the offense.

Oh, & bye Jake. Maybe Nebraska will be able to be a new home

Didn't get to watch the game today, but **** if twitter doesn't make it sound like Brown was hot garbage. 3 td's and 0 int's, what am I missing from just looking at the stat lines? I'm assuming it's just twitter being twitter where everything has to be doom and gloom.

I like Jaccuri’s athleticism a lot but he doesn’t seem any where close to TVD as a pocket passer right?
Why would he be? He's a true freshman in his first start. TVD saw the field in year 2 of the program and had a shakey start until he settled in.

I just don't get the unrealistic comparison when Jacurri could have redshirted if TVD wasn't injured and we had any kind of short yardage running game.

Give him time to grow. He has to learn through his mistakes.

Oregon - Washington is an entertaining game. The kind some posters will claim proves how bad the PAC12 is but the exact same game between Ole Miss-LSU proves how good the $EC $EC $EC is…

And then Lanning brain farts…..corch moment…

Well if we miss the bowl game, it gives Mario more time to recruit.

I'd give them to him before TVD, you need to protect TVD for his long term health, if they don't, then it really sends a message to recruits about how they are valued, parents on if their sons will be ultimately cared for.
