-Allen Hurns= great college receiver and good pro wasted by AG

Allen Hurns UM Profile

Set single-season school record with 1,162 receiving yards, breaking mark previously held by Leonard Hankerson

Golden was terrible in A TON of areas but saying he "ruined" Allen Hurns (Broke school record receiving yars Sr. year) cheapens your argument.

Couldn't agree more. There's plenty of crap to blame on Golden but the NFL's inability to see his talent, thus not drafting him isn't Golden's fault. He was featured quite a bit his junior and senior seasons. You don't break the single season yardage record by not being used correctly. Now, NFL scouts saw a guy with mediocre size and speed but a knack for making tough catches and a lot of college production and chose to pass on him in the draft. That wasn't on Golden, that was on all 32 NFL teams.

dexter was a good one. i remember on ABC they refered to him as Americas Best Cornerback.
Ryan McNiel too.

reason i picked kevin patrick is darren krein got all the hyped but kevin patrick terrorized offenses, he was not
only an all american, he was a game changer.

Another good one in a thread where at least three quarters of the names don't fit the criteria.

Cool dude who I hung out with for our game against Houston in Houston. He was back there living in the city.

Donna Shalala - For her connections and knowing how to use them to keep us from getting the death penalty. I don't think we would have survived the Shapiro gate and get out of that with virtually a slap on the butt.

Fun thread...
Ive been watching since '99 so I can't speak for before that era, but:

-Damione Lewis= very good college dt

-Matt Walters= received lots of criticism, very solid player

-Chris Campbell= underrated and solid college linebacker, RIP

-Al Blades= great leader, great Cane;RIP

-Antrel Rolle= an absolutely dominant college corner, shut down CJ in '04; doesn't get as much love as Vilma, DJ, Wilfork, or ST

-Graig Cooper= very good all-purpose college rb before his injury

-Duke Johnson= best and most versatile rb we have had, yet he was wasted by AG

-Kelly Jennings= shutdown college corner, forgotten because he didn't make enough big plays, but man could he cover

-Roscoe Parish= dynamic playmaker at wr and return man

-Sinorice Moss= overshadowed by his brother, but a very good college player

-Rocky McIntosh= very good to great college lb, forgotten because of Vilma and DJ; still in the pros?

-Brock Berlin= overshadowed by his predecessor, had a solid career and led us to a 5-0 record vs FSU/UFag

--James Lewis/Mo Sikes= playmaking college
safeties overshadowed by ST and ER respectively

-Jason Geathers= do it all rb/wr that made big plays his whole career on offense and st; had a big td against FSU in '02

-Allen Hurns= great college receiver and good pro wasted by AG

-Jason Geathers= do it all rb/wr that made big plays his whole career on offense and st; had a big td against FSU in '02

That's where I was going. Some of those guys you named got the appreciation they deserved. JG to me was a glue guy and I remember watching and feeling good when he was in the game.

CJ RIchardson - wasn't our best safety ever obviously, but he hit so **** hard.

and of course Duke.. mainly by some idiots on this board. Duke was incredible all the time.

CJ ruined the Arizona State kick return unit BY HIMSELF. Two consecutive kickoffs, two HUGE hits, and two fumbles. The game was over in Tempe from that moment forward.

CJ had a momentum changing pick in the 94 FSU game. Game-changing turnover in the first home game after Washington broke The Streak.

That ASU game I mentioned was the game before UDub broke the streak. CJ was a beast that year. The Miami D was so incredibly good that year, but the offense was mediocre at best. Frank Costa just couldn't get out of his own way.

I recently watched highlights from the 1994 FSU game on YouTube. The defense was incredible. Warren Sapp, Pat Riley, Kenard Lang, and Kenny Holmes on the DL, Ray Lewis and Rohan Marley at LB, CJ at S...

Scary good.

This is actually a great choice. #24 was an integral part of the 87 title team.
