Most under-appreciated hurricane ever?

Albert Bentley
He came to Miami on scholarship and when he had a death in the family left school to help out at home. He came back as a walk on and was an integral part of the 83 championship team. He went on to play in NFL and secured starting spot with Colts and as luck would have it 2 weeks into season Colts traded for Eric ****erson and he went back to being an unselfish backup.

Best and most accurate to the question posed by the OP.

Either we have the dumbest fans in the land who don't understand the question or who knows what, but a high percentage of the names listed weren't underappreciated ever. In fact many of them were stars here, have been talked about countless times, and there's even some all-time greats mixed in.

Otis Anderson, how the **** does he make the list? Dan Morgan? Huerta? Medearis? I could go on and on....what's the point though?

Allen Hurns
Leonard Conley
Trent Jones 3rd down guy
Chris T. Jones It was sad to see him getting injured so early in his nfl career.

Willis Mcgahee? Started at FB in 2001 MNC and Single handedly almost won anither MNC, until he ruined his entire career in a meaningless play-for-free college football game. When you think of 2001, you probably think of Dorsey, portis and AJ. 2002 and beyond you probably think of gore, Berlin, Winslow and moss(sinrice and tyronne). McGahee was the most dominant player in my lifetime.

Second place is Quatrine Hill. And a distant third is Aaron Moser.

Dan Morgan - Most decorate college player we have had outside of QB, record for most tackles in a Super Bowl. Never gets mention on Cane boards when talking about great LB's. People keep wanting to talk about Spence in the same sentence?

Reggie Wayne had all the career UM records and was the go to guy for 4 years when a first down was needed or a big TD was needed. Moss always got the highlights and fan fare. Until his last 3 years in the NFL people just took his production for granted. His stats make Dre Johnson look like a walk on in college and the pros. His Draft scouting report read like this. Shorter Wr (6'0) with OK speed (4.47 Indy combine) who can block and might have the best hands and route running in the draft. Not a number 1 Wr and a 2nd to 3rd round draft grade.

Leonard Conley was overlooked for Sean McGuire. Guy is one of my all time favorites. Just pure production.

Cleveland Gary was a great great back who will always be remembered for the TD vs ND that never was.

Ed Reed and Sean Taylor, They get love from us and the NFL but can you believe that these 2 cats never won the Thorpe award? Have never had interest for that award again.

Russell Maryland was a major college award winner and the #1 pick of the Dallas Cowboys but seems to be overshadowed on Cane boards because he was between Cortez Kennedy and Jimmy Jones and Jerome Brown early in his career and Warren Sapp after his Miami Career.

Daryl Jones and Brian Blades are 2 of the best WR's who had to play in the shadow of greatness their whole careers at Miami.

Tremain Mack represents the players who played from 1995-1999 who were awesome college players but probation took away the glory. With the exception of Ray Lewis and Edge James, there were a lot of guys who were great and nobody knew it until they got to the NFL.

Eric Winston to me represents all the really good players that went on to have long pro careers but played after LSU fight game and never got the respect of the college game because our coaches were not up to par. Devin Hester being the lone exception. RIP to the great careers who played for Miami 2005-2015 seasons.

Ok, I'll go with a name I haven't seen yet - Coleman Bell

Very good pass-catching TE on the 91 and 92 squads and made an incredibly important and great catch on the go-ahead drive in Wide Right I at Tally on a 2nd and 13 where he climbed over an fSU defender that triggered UM

So a toast to ol #17

Roscoe Parrish. He was a better scout team Eric Crouch than the actual Eric Crouch!

Dwayne Johnson.

Best play as a DL was sacking Charlie Ward when Ward ran into him. Chased San Diego State's Aztec Warrior mascot into the stands during a brawl. Donated millions back to The U, enough to have the locker room named after him. He may be a contributor to the IPF. Better pro wrestler than Larry Pfol.

-Allen Hurns= great college receiver and good pro wasted by AG

Allen Hurns UM Profile

Set single-season school record with 1,162 receiving yards, breaking mark previously held by Leonard Hankerson

Golden was terrible in A TON of areas but saying he "ruined" Allen Hurns (Broke school record receiving yars Sr. year) cheapens your argument.

CJ RIchardson - wasn't our best safety ever obviously, but he hit so **** hard.

and of course Duke.. mainly by some idiots on this board. Duke was incredible all the time.

CJ ruined the Arizona State kick return unit BY HIMSELF. Two consecutive kickoffs, two HUGE hits, and two fumbles. The game was over in Tempe from that moment forward.

CJ had a momentum changing pick in the 94 FSU game. Game-changing turnover in the first home game after Washington broke The Streak.

That ASU game I mentioned was the game before UDub broke the streak. CJ was a beast that year. The Miami D was so incredibly good that year, but the offense was mediocre at best. Frank Costa just couldn't get out of his own way.
