then had a reserve role last year

So yes he's serviceable. All I'm saying is we have Ford and bethel who both could stake their claim for the other starting spot with another year in our system. I don't get the bonafide "he's the starter" talk

49 tackles, 8.5 tfls, 2 sacks at UCLA in 2017. That's very, very productive for a DT.

Last year he didnt fit in the 3-4, and Kelly went with a youth movement everywhere, it's been explained several times.

And obviously, just watch his film. Yes, he's not Willis but he's a really good 1 year guy. If he doesnt start? Well that'd be great because it means Bethel/Ford made a big leap

I think he's better than Tito showed to be last year. So, I expect him to start unless Ford or Bethel make a tremendous leap, in which case we're good either way. This was really big.

Now, we need a DE to fit into the Garvin/Rousseau/Patchan crew.

He definitely looks more disruptive than all of those guys. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself but he’s a huge addition
