The great part of being objective, I mean a mope, is that losses like last night don’t change my outlook on the season. We are a meh 8-4 maybe if things go bad good 7-5/9-3 team. We are still that. Nothing has changed, we were just reminded 1) Mario is a terrible game day coach and 2) many over reacted to our first 4 games. Onto UNC
This.

Had to work and watched game thru texts and quick score alerts. Crazy my peception of the game then and now that I have watched it. Yes, the end was a world-class debacle BUT the game was just strange. Different uniforms, TVD off night etc. I know I will get the hates for this but it looked like a rivalry game. Slugfest first half. Offenses get going second half. Miami looks to have it and then an outlier that changes outcome.
Disappointed in the loss and mismanagement. Curious about the rebound week. Not sure we have it in us but we will see*

*apologies for rational thoughts
Only thing that make this better is hearing the positive on the recruiting front. Another frustration aside from the mistake the end is the No tempo on offense TVD was struggling all game not sure why Dawson didn’t go tempo and get tvd in rhythm. TVD seems to struggle when he has to process to much information

I had to watch the game on my phone and don’t have detailed thoughts, but my wife isn’t talking to me this morning and my head hurts. This sucks.

We all expected Mario to blow a game because of gameday blunders. But it didn’t need to be a national humiliation.

The UNC game just became the most important game in years. There is a real risk that the team loses trust in Mario after a botch like that. A loss can send the season off the rails. A win gets us back on an upward trajectory.

Salute to all the maniacs who still care after a loss like that. We are the college football version of Job. Hopefully, it will all be worth it one day. See you on Saturday night.

After sleeping for 3 hours bc I’m mentally shocked. I have moved on and Miami needs to beat unc and if they get blown out Mario may have to step down or be fired

Alcohol is a depressant. It brings out the most pessimistic thoughts and responses.

I don’t believe that this loss means he has loss the locker room or trust of the team as many have said (not you, you said it could, not it will). I don’t believe that he should be fired, or that the team will collapse due to this loss. I don’t believe that we should fold the program, or that this season is shot.

Georgia Tech lost to Bowling effin Green last week at home, then came into Miami and beat us the entire game until that abomination of a coaching decision, and the horrible plays thereafter. Using our “fans” logic shouldn’t their season have been over? Shouldn’t they have turned on their coach and quit? How were they able to bounce back after such an embarrassing loss, but we cannot do the same?

I believe that Mario has put enough toughness and grit into this team that they won’t simply fold now. Too many leaders on this team now to expect the same response to adversity. As I said, this season, every last game will depend on the play of TVD. Guidry and the defense showed up and will show up. One player’s performance shouldn’t set the tone but his play definitely does, good or bad.

I think we respond and beat UNC. If a person is saying we’ll fold, then they are saying TVD will fold and is finished.

If the team gives up and starts getting destroyed im going to actively try and stop paying attention for good. I let this crap impact me way more than it should and i think 20ish years of getting kicked in the balls is enough. Not sure if I'll be successful but i really will try. I'm WAY more apathetic now than i used to be when Miami lost though so it might be happening naturally anyway.

I will say no fans in any sport anywhere get ****ed with more by the universe than Miami fans. Like 100 crazy things had to happen to lose the game last night and they all did.

Having said that if Miami beats UNC next week my dumbass will be fully engaged again.

How I've felt the last 9 hours...

At this point, after 25 years of being fan, it genuinely can't be worth it. It's not fair on the people around me

This. Had a splitting headache last night, kind of shunned my wife last night and just am not pleasant to be around for that kind of loss. Not fair to them or myself.

I might go the way i have been with the fins. Way too many years of frustration lead to me to just about give up on them and follow them at an arm’s length. Otherwise, would hurt too much, mane

Just show the last 30 seconds of this game and say “you really want to play for this guy?”

10000%. You don’t even need to say anything. Just put it on and stand there like in the Jeffrey Dahmer Netflix series. You’re gonna trust your career to guys who can’t figure out what a middle school girls flag football coach can?

All I can do is hope he will get his head out of his *** on Gameday and really focus on being a smarter coach. Maybe he needs to hire a analytics guy but really that guy just tells him how to manage the end of games lol

This a fireable blunder and I will not watch another game until Mario is canned. My young son has been given permission to defect to any team he wants save FSU and Ohio Stare. I refuse to let him get hurt repeatedly by the **** product that is the University of Miami football program . And If I see any other children wearing UM gear, I will call DCF on their parents!

Everything was bad. The game plan sucked. Team played poorily. Refs were god awful. And even still, with allll of that the kids got their **** together enough to get out with the W. That kind of resilience is usually the sign of a good team. Ugly wins happen. You take it and move on.

And then it happened…

We all know Mario is a gameday corch of the highest order. Always has been and always will be. The rest of this season will ride on which version of TVD we get from here on out.

If we get the TVD from the A&M game, we'll have a puncher's chance against everyone on our schedule. If he plays like he did last night and like he did last season, then we're in for one **** of an implosion that we won't recover from.
