I don’t see a problem with people that root for the canes complaining to show the light to others who can’t see, a lot of us seen this movie before and know this staff won’t bring us back. If the leaders at UM just kept it real and said “hey guys we can’t compete anymore this is TNM” I think that will help most instead of all the lies of real coaching searches etc. people are upset emotional cause they love the team and lash out, no one ever expected the Miami brand to suck.
 
Here is a good way to do it.

Mods can choose maybe 50 really good posters that have been here for years and grandfather them in, giving them free access (guys like K9, etc). Mods you choose the 50. And perhaps give free access to former players and family members of players.

But everyone else should pony up the $5.99.

Cull the heard.
 
I already gave Pete what he deemed a "lifetime membership fee" of $69.69 in 2015. It also released me from a temporary band-ishment I received for saying something over the line about Paranos.

If you’re charging less than Rivals or 247 you guys will be good to go. If not $5.99, drop it to $4.99. Just ensure you’re charging less than your competitors

Fans will pay it and you’d weed out the nonsense real quick, especially since you’ll need to sign up with your CC information that must match names with zip codes (pay + indentifying metadata from CCs)
 
I don't think they would charge anytime soon cause this board keeps this site alive.

You say you want the mods to start charging? Ok, I get it. I’ve seen some pretty dump posts on here and some pretty lame threads started. I have done a few myself. My response is to say give a reason. A specific reason I might add. Maybe two or three. I know in sales I have to give reasons to clients as to why addition of something is a good thing and why subtraction of something is going to be of benefit.

Provide a solution to a problem. It’s a problem that you have so you are going to need to do better than starting a thread that says “Charge 5.99 or whatever.

I mean, where does the 5.99 come from? Is this something you can afford? Is 6.99 out of your budget? I’m being serious. If you can’t do that then you are no better than the “why can’t we get better players” guy. Or “who would be your second favorite team” guy.

I for one come to the site because of its crazyness. I love it. I wouldn’t pay for it. But I love “what are you drinking” thread and many others. Tell us who and what is the issue and then come with a solution. It has to be rock solid to up sell.
