What changed in the past two games? Four games in they were run blocking reallly well. The last two… not so much.
UF was missing half the DL.

FSU and Lville had film on us and scouted us. FSU forced beck to beat them and he did. he didnt against lvile. teams will do the same over and over

.... How do you mitigate his mistake-proneness though; my answer wouldn't be to design an offensive game plan entirely based on not scoring fast, ideally only getting 4ypc with zero ability to get 15, where a single penalty or trailing whatsoever cripples drives, and FORCING that QB to be perfect decision maker.

That's what people don't ******* get that defend or support conservative play calling. If you are conservative and are agree with the mentality of 'lets get 4ypp all game long and not score too quickly' well that means you are requiring all 11 of your guys to execute at least average with no wiggle room for bad play or decisions, because then it all falls apart! And it puts a lot more pressure than necessary on the QB!

Remember when we added Beck and comparing ourselves to UGA, everyone was saying he'd A) have WRs who could catch her and B) A ******* RUN GAME!.... One of those things ain't holding up it's end of the bargain
But @Calinative it's more efficient. Why are you complaining? We got the efficient bro ball everybody was clamoring all off-season. Can't you see the efficientness and that Beck is clearly better than Cam who lost us games last year because he wouldn't take the checkdown and we passed every play?

Lmao @DMoney still defending our run gameplan/scheme and talking about how successful it is on the pod today. Smfh. I hope to god this isn’t the mentality the coaches have. @Peter Ariz even brought up how we clearly don’t trust our Oline due to our splits. Lmao.

Mario has been here 4 years now. We’ve had a top like 50 run offense once which was last year. Penalties have continuously killed us for 4 years now under Mario. Yet you keep blaming the lack of running success on penalties…. Yeah that’s ******* true, so then if we have literally always been one of the worst penalized teams in the country every year under Mario why the **** is the philosophy based on killing ourselves when we inevitably do get penalties? Just insanity for @DMoney to keep defending this run gameplan.

We are literally running into 10 man boxes sometimes because we tuff n fiziccal.. We just supposed to work harder and tougher when defenses are loaded into box and daring us to run, they can pinch down with abandon because we ONLY run up middle and there is no threat of run outside or QB pull.. FSU had safeties at like 8 yard depth and biting down hard, UL had players deep while playing games upfront.. Last year we had intermediate game to combat this alot, Beck hasnt seemed comfortable with any of that, so now we seem limited with what we can do..

We need to adjust, FAST.. You not just gonna out physical teams for 12 games straight, you will get clipped.

False, its that our offense is slow and really that productive that it why each penalty feels like a big deal. Last year we were just penalized and for the most part it didn't feel like a big deal. Now it feels like each penalty is a drive killer. We can't overcome them. Our run plays A gap or quick screen to the WR for 3 yards.

We were penalized way too much last year too. It’s absurd

People got upset at me for saying the OL has been overrated especially in the run game. But the numbers show it.
Any o line would be overrated if every defense you played knew EXACTLY what you’re going to run! They stack the box and play their CBs 45 yards off the LOS because there is no threat to run outside and no threat to throw slants, comebacks, and hitches. The D-Ends even crash inside because of the lack of a threat to run outside or a QB keeper 🤣. you won’t get nowhere running up the centers butt every snap

Yup. We’re decent at almost everything. The offense isn’t nearly as bad as we looked Friday night. But that’s also the problem. It’s just decent.

Also, contrary to popular belief, not every single run play is duo into the A-gaps. Imagine that. (But we do it the most, and we’re not great at at. Soooooo…)
We’re 95th in yards before first contact. Last year we were top 10-15 I believe. Not good.

Literally no offense can be successful without being able to hit explosive plays. Period. I actually can't believe I even heard someone say the Staff went into this season not wanting to score too quickly. Genuinely stupid as ****, especially after completely overhauling the ******* defense. So you overhaul the defense, but then just abandon what made your offense #1 in the country by far last year... Wow what a great plan. Maybe the plan should have been try to keep the offense as close to the same as you could, while just doing what we did to our defense. Sure we'd probably be allowing more points than we are so far this year, but who gives a ****? The point is to outscore your opponent. You don't lose the game because you allowed 24....

This is literally what I have been saying all offseason. Either you need to be explosive on the ground or through the air. Last year we went with Ward, who brought it through the air. Ward was very aggressive. And Due to Ward being aggressive, it allowed our conservative *** run game to have success - something our run game has literally never had with Mario. When we went with Beck, it was OBVIOUS to anyone with eyes and who has watched football, that Becks game wasn't going to be nearly as aggressive (and that when he was aggresive or under pressure it resulted in more turnovers). BECAUSE of that, we NEEDED to have an explosive ground game. Again, I literally said this all ******* offseason. It's VERY BASIC ****, which is why it has ****ed me off so ******* much this past 2 weeks. You can't be conservative through the air and on the ground. If our gameplan was going to be play great defense and have Beck just pick teams apart and every handful of times hit a deep pass, well we need a far more aggressive Run game to pair with it.
