I never understand why people think Jimbo Fisher is the candidate at every SEC school. He's in an easier conference and FSU can pay him the same amount as LSU. I think Herman to USC is more likely.
 
les could never get a QB, never understood that. My money is on Jimbo to LSU, don't think herman leaves UH to go to FSU.

Yes Sir!!! But I think Saban would step down to avoid defeat. I don't think he's the kind of guy that would stand in the paint with another coach just as polarizing as him and take a the W's and L's over the long haul.
 
Best option IMO is the coach from Western Kentucky. He's from the Petrino coaching tree and has a great offensive mind. LSU would be smart to have a look at him. That's with the assumption that Herman and Briles are a no go

Agree. Not to mention he wouldn't have an easy Acc conference to run through.

Now that the acc is improving I suspect jimbo will start his decline

The link doesn't work for me. Are they implying that he would leave Houston in the middle of the season? I just can't see that happening when they are in the middle of a possible playoff run.

No they are implying that they have reached out to him and after the season is over he would take the job. Kind of like Justin Fuente did when he went to Virginia Tech last year. Before the season was over he had already taken the job there.

I'm suprised nobody (here) has mentioned Lane Kiffin...LSU is just grasping for a fresh breath of offense that isn't 1 dimensional....and he has everything you want in a head coach (along with things u don't want). If they could get Kiffin and keep Aranda that would be nice for them

Would have probably canned Aranda as well but buyout too big after LSU outbid Miami. No defense hasn't been issue. Must be thinking "F*ck could be 3-0 right now in a stable situation now in this dumpster fire!" I thought he might get interim tag his contract is guaranteed laughing all the way to the bank!
