That's the key here. You seem to think Banda is a great recruiter (he isn't), but those players aren't exactly a list of future starting safeties in the NFL. Banda isn't some great developer and he is an average recruiter.

Look at the depth at Corner and then compare it to Safety. I don't know what the **** you're talking about. Banda has had 2 Safetys selected in the 4th rd of the NFL draft. 1 one of them has been starting for many yrs, and the other one will be a full time starter by next yr.
 
We had to keep playing #8 when he couldn't even line up properly because we had 0 depth, but everything is fine.

Rumph had a good 2018 class
Rumph pulled 2 good HS prospects in 2019
Miami CBs were a bright spot on defense until this year

Rumph can claim all this. He also needs help, honestly the whole staff needs to do better

Rumph is the new Andreu Swasey. A guy who is so clearly bad at his job, so unqualified, so obviously in need of firing, that is inexplicably retained over multiple staffs and is defended by the same exact morons who thought swasey was some key cog in the UM machine.

is it bc hes a black dude from Miami? i legit cant think of any other reason people give this clown some undeserved adulation as a “developer”.

Tbh they just dug into there ways..when Banda was hired they wanted that job to go to Ed Reed..or Corey redmound or whoever the UF dB was at the time..but you look that production that Banda has had from his safeties. You can’t knock it. But now they giving Rumph the credit for that because Banda was a Bartender once in his life..it’s comical

Tell that to @brock and he'll tell you to look at Christian Williams and Te'Coury Couch. Did you know that we flipped Couch from Michigan and he beat out LSU for Williams?
 
We probably missed out on hiring this guy, but we should definitely be able to find a young guy who can recruit and coach. Rumph's on the field production out of his unit is impressive, but definitely not irreplaceable.

Soflo DB class is weak this year tbh. If I’m not mistaken the top of our CB board has been a lot of national guys..plan b and c have been in state

Banda and Rumph have "put" DBs in the NFL. Ya'll need to stop with this ****. You guys don't know what quality position coaching is quit acting like you should make the jump from CIS to Greentree tomorrow. There's a reason why we are where we are and Rumph is where he is. Rumph isn't a problem at UM.
