Mike Rumph

Man, listen --

I'm all for trashing Rumph's recruiting this cycle. But for the love of God, keep that same energy with Banda who has easily done a worse job recruiting than Rumph has.

Banda is a better coach & recruiter than Rumph. Go and look at the Safetys that Banda has recruited and then compare them to what Rumph does on the trail. Banda gets highly recruited Safetys every single yr. Finley, Carter, Hall, Keontra, Bolden, Harrell, and potentially Avantae. That's all Banda. Its actually comical that retarded fans who are clueless actually think that they are equally bad. There's no comparison between the two. Night & day difference

Any chance the Cane's will move on from him? He doesn't develop any of our CBs. He rarely puts our CBs in the NFL and when he does they are late draft picks. Our CBs have poor technique and constantly have their back turned when the ball is in the air. He's a poor recruiter tbh... He just lost a recruiting battle to UCF and the only CB we have in this class is Marcus Clark who is converting from WR. It wouldn't effect our class if we moved on from him. It might be the perfect time in my opinion
Stop with the endless nonsense. Rumph is the least of Miami's problems.

Hall and Carter both had a quality season. I'm not sure what you are talking about
Quality seasons for a 6-6 team.

they wouldn’t SNIFF the roster on our previous rosters.
as it stands .. neither of them will play on the next level. They haven’t been developed.
chances are you only watch canes football and you don’t know the difference between elite players and players that have “good seasons” on a horrible team.

You could start a thread like this for 4/5's of our defensive staff they are that amateur.

Get Blake, Banda, Patke and Rumph the fuvck out of here for the love of God.

Is it a lie? Y’all won’t ever give rumph credit for anything
You can get credit for player development AND the talent currently on the roster, while also acknowledging that the way the CB board has been handled and recruited during Rumph's time as CB coach just hasn't been up to par. SFLA probably has more FBS level corners than any other part of the country. Some years you can get the 4th or 5th ranked kid down here and he'll still be a 4 star. Rumph is a legend at UM and a guy who I grew up watching wear the orange and green. I'm still fine with moving on from him and Banda, though.

Who has he developed?? Mike Jackson is pretty much it. Our CBs rarely improve after there freshman or Sophomore season. All of them always have there back turned when the ball is in the air
He’s been here 4 years..Mike Jackson, DJ ivey, Blades, Williams, couch and bandy are His guys..to say bandy hasn’t improved since his fresh or soph years...wtf are y’all talking bout..and Banda?..smh. If Rumph or Banda get let go..they are highly sought after 💯 promise

Just busting your chops but I do think it's time to move on.
People act like these other guys are better recruiters than rumph , they are just as average if not WORSE. Rumph is a good coach and above average recruiter he’s bringing in talent at the position every year but people act like he doesn’t( you don’t help bring in 7 4 stars in 2017-2019 not being one). People keep crying about 5 star corners, what elite db is going to come here when we are struggling like this on the field?

Banda is significantly worse than Rumph in terms of player development.

There are also rumors that Rumph has had to help him with getting safeties lined up properly during practice.

Is that why Banda has developed 2 Safetys that were selected in the 4th rd of the NFL draft? Whats the highest rd that Rumph's Corners have been selected in?

There is a difference Banda is actually a good safeties coach.

LMAO, what makes a good safety coach? We can argue Miami has an easier time acquiring good safeties opposed to CBs

Banda is not a better X and Os coach than Rumph and if anyone thinks that they are just basing it on kids playing in the league, which is a simple way of doin it but also lazy

It’s not even about that..Look at position group performance since Banda and Rumph have been here..they are the least of our worries
