It’s not an either or in this situation, but I’d rather have Rumph than Patke

I mean, we've asked the question a million times and no one really wants to answer it, but who tf have Banda and Patke landed if we're penalizing Rumph for his recruiting?

Banda's misses are just as epic as Rumph's.

I mean I get it. We wanna say things like "best man for the job" , which is true, but you're fooling yourself if you think no one's going to notice there's not one guy who looks like you on an entire side of the ball.

Look at UGA, Clemson, and Bamas staffs. They don't look like that by accident.

It's bad optics, especially after what happened in the NFL today.

Representation matters to ppl. Its why they have the Rooney Rule for example.

I know we like to bring up the reverse scenarios and examples as you did, but that ain't how it works unfortunately. I wish we lived in a color blind society. It's ideal. But we don't.

It's not about right or wrong. Its about reality.

Y’all dumb as **** if you think Manny is going to get rid of Patke one of his disciples. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Patke calling the plays on defense. Nobody takes into account that Rumph was also helped by a great front 7, He can easily be replaced. Fran Brown would be a great replacement.

Dude you have managed to make the most asining comments I've ever read here and that is no small feat. No parents or players care if we have a staff full of Chinese people. What matters is do they trust them as people and coaches. Period. Remember when everyone was coming cause Radio........yeah.

Exactly, the SFL recruiting landscape has changed. It's not the 80's and 90's anymore. It's a different game ($$$) 7-6 season all but eliminates you from consideration. I thought the DBs were coached up pretty good but if you're not pulling your weight on the trail?

I was waiting for the a Radio comment. Has nothing to w what Im saying. At all. And since you said no one cares, what about Kellen Winsow? And that's just one who was public about it.

It matters, homie. I know we don't WANT it to or think it shouldn't, but it does.

Again, find me an all white staff of an elite team? Coaches are really cognizant of these kinds of things even tho their personal politics may not agree w a token or quota hire.

Man stfu. Being a ***** is one thing but being one that can read makes ya eyes pop out like Perry. I saw somewhere that reed would be interested in coaching t Miami. Just don't know if its legit or not. There's no reason not to believe he couldn't coach here as a position coach. Mike vrabel did it at Ohio St coaching linebackers and d-line after retiring. That's just one example b.

You won't see me starting a thread about ray Lewis being dc. That's about as dumb as your post.
 
Good. Can't fckin recruit to save his life, I'm tired of having to rely on GT's & Juco's at a crucial Corner spot because he couldn't do a simple job. Dudes like Dean & Delaney had no business playing here.

He's NOT irreplaceable, he's only beloved on this site because he played for the 00-01 Canes.

I know of 2 different DB coaches in HS in South Fla that thought Rumph was a joke, whether yall wanna hear it or not he's not well respected on the scene & gets clowned by a lot of local South fla coaches, which is why he had such a hard time recruiting.

I’d add the cliche thing about knowing the South Florida culture. IMO there’s nothing particularly magical or mystical about recruiting South Florida that meaningfully distinguishes it from other major recruiting territories throughiout the country.
Sure there are extremes and you can of course contrast a city kid versus a country kid but on the whole, it’s good ole fashioned recruiting.

Dumb. Coaches hire who they believe will help them win. Also, if he's fired, he will be replaced; along with all the other staff openings. You have no idea who we'll hire and especially what color they are
