I'll know this well get neg but the optics of it. 1st Rumph deserves to be fired for missing out the 2 Heritage CB, so if Rumph is fired worthy what the **** has Panda and Patke done to stay other then previous relationship? LB play has been horrible and who's the LB coaches

Well if the LB play is horrible than that is Manny. He coaches LB. Patke coaches the striker position and Romeo Finley was good this year.

Good source at Hecht tells me Rumph is not safe and his future will be decided in the next few days.
Awesome...Lmao...You can't land elite recruits and have your cb's turn their heads and look for the ball?!? GONE!!!!

Bama's DBs don't turn and look for the ball on fade routes.. They're taught to play through the hands. We saw it on Saturday. Surtain never turned around.

Pretty sure Savion Smith turned his head routinely and tracked the ball...Surtain is a freshman...dude was just getting roasted

Let's be honest. Rumph was hire here to bring in some AH studs and failed miserably.

I love the fact Manny, who probably watched the Alabama game, knew we aren't even in the same galaxy as those guys or even Clemson when they played and is getting rid of any and everything that may be deemed incompetent.

I know I'm gonna get murdered for this by certain posters who refuse to think these things should matter, and the usual suspects will probably call me a race baiter (whatever) --

But you can't fire the one black guy on your defensive staff.

Yes, those things do matter and parents and recruits do notice it. Not saying Rumph has to be retained, but it's not a good look having no black guys on one side of the ball.

He coached the top two coners in the country and couldn't get either one...

Unless we get in the bag game the next guy isn't getting those guys in the next recruiting cycle either. We'll get good players if we have a good year but they won't be elite. But we're still blaming position coaches I see. If he we don't change our recruiting philosophy($$$) or win so much that kids can't turn us down, missing on elite guys will continue.

Oh that's an interesting development. Must be tied to his recruiting failures of late.

Do white parents notice that we barely have any white kids on D? Or do they just think "**** it, the U recruits the best players"?

'Cos that's all parents will think if these coaches put their kids in a position to succeed.

Naw that comes from him coaching at AH and telling kids not to come here
