But Rumph, the coach at Plantation-American Heritage and a former Atlantic High standout, said he sat among an increasingly tense crowd at Sun Life Stadium during Nebraska’s 23-point comeback. He said much of the tension was directed at the coaching staff.

“It was amazing to hear the fans,” Rumph said on WQAM. “We got up 21 [points], and the fans were like, ‘Yay?’ But any mistake we made, they were ready to jump down the staff’s throats. Five-yard penalty, ‘Oh here goes old UM. … Here we go again.’ I was getting upset. You’re all cheering, but one little mistake and everybody’s ready to jump ship.”

Oh Mike Mike Mike. Its about 4 years of the same mistakes. That's why we want to jump ship.

(Narrowminded views...smh)

He's 100% on point and its the number one reason why golden has no business being the head coach at UM. When the marketplace hates the product with the intensity they do now, you simply have to make a change.

Whats crazier IMO is that even if UM can win 8 or 9 games this season and the fans will still want golden gone.

The tone of everything Brock posts has zero actual perspective. It's like he just started watching UM football this year.

Fans don't jump down the staffs throats after a bad call, it's 5 years of bad calls. It's call attrition....

Is that crazy though? Since when is 8 or 9 wins in year 5 good enough?

Because the RAB was bull****. He had over a month to prepare for that game and got outcoached in every single facet.

This and when he off the grid during the coaching search made me lose all of the little respect I had for him

So true. These people act like we're just upset at one play , one game or one season. Mofos it's been **** near a decade of this!!!!

We're frustrated at a terrible administration not caring about football , and being tight when hiring coaches. You get what you pay for.

Looks like we were right. Or is there any more excuses ?

That's the one thing Golden and his slurpers do well.

Imagine if Urban made excuses for losing the three schollies and his two qb's .

Oh that's right , he's a winner and a good coach. No excuses needed.

I agree. It's evident that the situation is toxic for everyone. Even the coaches are frustrated over it. We've seen Donofrio arguing with fans. Al drawing penalties. His poor clock management in the fourth was an effort to add style points and go for the jugular to quiet the masses.

I wonder how many of Rumph's players have offers from Miami. I have to think he is looking out for them.
