Can somebody, anybody, point to some sort of harm the banner has done? You guys keep talking about about how embarrassing it is, show me some tangible proof that it's so bad.
Pretty sure a regular person wouldn't get to keep their jobs if they failed like Golden and the defense did for the first 3 1/2 years. And they get paid a lot of money to not ****ing stink. Boo hoo.
Except Golden's job was to keep the program afloat during a ****ing NCAA scandal and he didn't fail at all. As a matter of fact a lot of you were groveling at his feet hoping he wouldn't leave after 2011 and 2012 when things were at their darkest.
Couldn't help but root for the kid while he was here. Great kid and always played tough.
But he just needs to keep his mouth shut and worry about getting off the bench.
Winning cures all.

You call our record the past few years 'keep the program afloat'?
We've sukked!
I haven't seen anyone groveling at Golden's feet - other than the slurpers - and they might have been on their knees at Golden's feet for another reason.
Preach brother Mike. Twenty six thousand children a day die of starvation poverty and malnutrition and our dumbass fan base is spending money to fly banners to try to get someone fired... how pathetic is that.

the banners are the most ridiculous and humiliating acts from a fan base. Its unreal how ignorant our fanbase can be.
Preach Mike
Support the program
Don't embarrass it and cause distractions!

Livelihood? Golden doesn't make 50K a year....just sayin'
What you mad cuz you sell dimes and he push weight?
Y'all don't know his expenses he gotta buy a bigger plate
And more baggies...why you all aggy?
Next time you buy a ticket to a game, rent a movie, eat out, go to the movies, buy clothes you don't need or electronics or magazine subscriptions, etc I hope you realize any and all of that money could have fed starving children.

That is still a leap. People don't have to come together and bring awareness for some plight in the world. People wanted to raise awareness for something they are passionate about, it doesn't always have to be starving kids or people suffering. Sometimes its about football, or a road that needs fixing, etc. Any way you look at it, its a ridiculous statement.Shut up ****** hypocrite. Has every single dollar of your disposable income gone to hungry kids (mike james, not OP)?
edit/
did not fund the banner
Don't think that was anywhere near his point...but okay guy
Then he probably shouldn't have said it.
"there are sick and hungry kids and you are raising money for _____________________"
doesn't matter.
I guess he would prefer instead of supporting the banner, people take thousands away in the form of not renewing season tickets (people in close proximity)
or stopping their financial support of the university and athletic department (in my case).
**** on outta here tar heels fan.
I see that it's difficult for you to understand that there is a major difference between what you originally posted and what Mike James said.
Mike James essentially said it's an embarrassment for folks to spend money on a banner when there are kids dying.
His point was about the juxtaposition of spending money on banners while there were kids dying.
He didn't say you had to spend your every cent on dying kids.
He said don't spend A CENT on a banner while there are kids dying.
It was about the worthiness/importance of the endeavor in the grand scheme of things.
But I can already tell that this idea/theme is a bit difficult for you to get a hold of.
