Barrow also has NFL money something Cristobal and Shannon do not. Although Shannon got some HC money so he should be good. Cristobal had to go to Bama too good an offer to pass up. How he left was a bit slimy but can't blame him. But I agree Barrow is true Cane!

the difference could be that barrow has enough cash to do what he wants and hence why he passed on the AU job. shannon and cristobal? not so much, working stiffs just like us

exactly, lots of arguments on many cane blogs back when denzel was being recruited

The guy was folding players in high school with amazing tackling ability. amazing he was only a 3 star and crazy people were saying "hes too slow" and "hes too short"

Good one...but seriously, he's been the most vocal out of all the other past Canes about being so upset about what's happening to his school. He still follow Cane football religiously. No, I will never ever agree w/ his antics, but he's still a Cane at heart.

I prefer Hurlie Brown over Michael Barrow all day. Coley, Brown and Ice are the only guys I wouldn't want to lose. The only option I see for Barrow is Paul Williams getting fired, Hurlie Brown moving to DBs coach and Mike returning at LBs coach.

I can't say I'm the best source for what was being said on canesinsight, but I did search a number of boards when Denzel was being recruited and from my recollection it was pretty universal that everyone was excited about him being a recruit. I remember watching his film from highschool and I loved it, and I think it would have stuck out in my memory if LOTS of people didn't think he was a good take. Maybe there were some, but I'd have to say they were in the small minority.
 
Who the fvck wants Barrow back?! The guy was mediocre at best as a LB coach....probably much worse than that. His reputation as recruiter was also extremely overblown. Apart from Arthur Brown he pulled nobody. I want good coaches regardless of where they´re from. No more guys just because they´re Canes.
