Michael Irvin II out for season

Please no. Leave him where he belongs.

He requested the move to TE last season and he's arguably the 5th DE on the depth chart. He could go from 3rd string to a starter by moving back to TE. It's worth considering imo.

Langham is big enough to move to TE, which will give us needed depth. We have enough WRs to allow this important move early in camp.
I hear Njoku is bigger, and at 6'6" he should be a TE. Especially since his brother played TE.

Some people just don't get sarcasm.

Not a great month for the Irving’s. Time for the freshman’s to step up. Move Langhams immediately.

He's a better DE and we don't have a ton of depth there, either. 5th DE just means fewer reps than the #1-4 guys, but he will still get significant snaps there. He won't get any playing time being the 4th TE. We need bodies at DE to do what Diaz wants to do.

The thing about moving Langham & NJoku is that you wanted to get their bodies prepared for the move to TE through weight gain from the S&C coaches.

I think now that we are in camp it’s sort of too late.

If we can get 20 catches a piece & about 250-350 yards receiving from each freshman TE’s...I think that’ll represent what Herndon & NJoku gave us the last 2 years.

We have enough guys to catch balls. We need an inline blocker, and that’s not Langham. Don’t know enough about Njoku’s game, but doesn’t seem like it’s him either.

You're fooling yourselves if you think this doesn't hurt, at least a little, against LSU. I don't have any confidence Jordan and Mallory will hold up in the run game against SEC defensive edge players and backers. Not good. This will probably force Richt to go even more spread than he already planned.

Well, Irvin wasn't all that good run blocking last yr. Matter of fact he was outright awful. Hate to see dude go down but let's not kid ourselves, we knew that the freshman were in the top 2 out of the tight ends.

He’s already practiced there. If Joyner is ready to give a few snaps a game, this might be the best route.

I feel bad for the kid personally, It's a bigger loss than most think. We have talent their but it's young. We'll see what happens.

He knew his assignments and had 3 years in a S&C program. It’s a huge loss, IMO.

Sucks for the kid, but as long as it wasn't the OT or DT the show goes on without a large drop off imo

We've had to move Tyreic Martin and Joyner (true freshman) to DE.

We don't have the depth there.
Yea I was thinking the same thing too when I saw those moves .. even I was going by cis logic thought we had enough depth there but the coaching staff thinks otherwise

He isn't starting at TE. His best route to the field is DE especially with how diaz likes to rotate.
