Michael Irvin II out for season

Here's a question though. At some point do you want to try and win championships?!

We have only three scholarship TE's left on the roster and an entire season to play + camp left to go. How can anyone even debate that we don't need depth? Not to mention two are freshman who arrived late.

The transition to college football is very hard. Freshman flash but rarely can they hold up for an entire season and be consistent.

This will become a problem and DJ Dallas isn't walking through that door.

You act like Brevin and Mallory are normal freshmen. They're not. It's obvious to everyone that they're special talents, and Brevin especially is as college ready as it gets. Freshmen "flashing" is just dumb. Did Richards flash? Did Shaq? No. Special players produce, especially at skill positions

Guys like Irvin and Knowles are liabilities on the field. I don't care if they're vets, they aren't Miami caliber. And at TE you have other options, even with limited depth. Play 4 WR, use 2-back sets, play both Realus and Gray in short yardage.

There are teams in this country that don't even have TEs on the roster. If our coaches can't figure out how to run an offense without a below average TE who should never be higher than 3rd string at Miami, they should be fired

The days of redshirting marquee talent is over(outside of maybe the Oline) and yeah, Ebony and Ivory(Jordan and Mallory) might be a bit nervous early on at AT@T Stadium but after you get hit in the mouth a few times, it reverts back to just being football - something they've done their whole lives and their talent will take over.

Irvin is a JAG for the most part, these two young guys can be special

One advantage, LSU has no college tape on them. One or two surprises by either could be the big play that wins the game.

Exactly ... same thoughts with gurvan Hall and Robert knowles

Absolutely, outside of special teams, Knowles shouldn't be out there on defense unless it's a blowout. Which is fine, but Hall is another guy that has a very high upside and gives the Miami backfield a real dose of athleticism and some nastiness.

Facts

JR is not good at all...dont wish him to be hurt though but this helps us imo cause JR isnt a great blocker either imo.

He's a good blocker, yes. But will he be physically ready to do it in college, we will see.

We didn't use a FB much because 2016 we had a grad transfer from Mars College and last season we didn't have one at all. This season we converted our strongest RB to FB and went out and recruited the Nation's top rated HS FB.

I think you're going to see more FB use moving forward.
 
It was Mars Hill and that dude is on an NFL roster, also scored our first touchdown of the year that year. If there was a time to use a FB that was it. He was big, strong, and experienced.

Welp season is done here folks we don’t have a tight end to practice on the 3rd team how could we ever compete...
