Miami vs UVA 2/19

Huge disappointment so far
He's flashed, but he isn't nearly as polished as Joseph is, and that's why Joseph has found a role relatively easily. What Wooga does well, isn't really needed on THIS team, because you have Kam, Wong and Moore. Miami needs him to be an energy guy that can get a shot when needed, which is a role he isn't comfortable with. He's a scorer, and when you aren't getting consistent minutes, it's hard to get a rhythm if that's what you do. Don't be shocked to see him grow a ton and look completely different next year, because he will actually get some minutes with the aforementioned three guards leaving(Wong has eligibility left, but I doubt he comes back)

In case you're wondering why Charlie's always in foul trouble, that last one is the answer. Always reaching
He's active with his hands, all I ask is that when UVA straight up mauls people, it gets called. Guys that lunge and reach should get called, Moore just gets into people's body and uses his leverage and size to squeeze in. 20 years ago, that was decent defense, now, it's a foul.

Refs finally called them for the hand check that they do 100 times each possession
The pack line is based on a simple concept: If everyone fouls consistently, you will get away with it more often than not. It's basically a less athletic version of the old "40 minutes of ****", except Nolan Richardson's squads just pressured you into mistakes...

Bout time shedrick got caught. tuff work takin care of business, but nice that wake forest did their part, beating ND earlier!

Coach L on UVA
"The challenge of playing Virginia is at both ends of the court,” Larranaga said. “That pack defense is an outstanding defense that they have perfected, and they make it very difficult on your offense to get good shots.

“And for whatever reason, they never get called for fouls. And they foul a lot. I mean, a lot. And they don’t get called for them. On the offensive end they pose a major problem because they run their offense so consistently.”
This is how you lobby the refs.

Can't stand Virginia. They feel like fsu where they just have miamis number recently...really want this win. And their center has a ridiculously goofy punchable face lol

You're dead on. Bob Huggins has been doing it for 3 decades. Refs are too committed to calling an equal number of fouls on both teams. For some reason they don't seem to understand that non-calls effect the game just as much as actual calls.

They are a matchup issue, because Miami hasn't had legit size in ages. If you have legit size, to go along with decent guard play, the Packline isn't nearly as efficient.

The way UVA plays can be overcome by good shooting and limiting second chance points defensively. They aren't good enough offensively to beat you in a shootout.
