Kidding about what? ASKING if Rosier should get any PT on senior day? No, it was an intensely serious question. :biggrin-new:

Seriously though - We're 6-5. The Pitt game will be meaningless for anything of consequence. I'd kinda like to see Rosier get the first 2 series or something like that. If he doesn't touch the field, then whatever. But it will tell me something bigger about Mark Richt.

While I was in favor of firing Al Golden for over a year prior, I never hated him as a human being until senior day in 2014. The seniors all went to him and asked for Ryan Williams to be given some playing time on senior day. Al Golden has so much hatred for his own players that he intentionally kept Ryan Williams off the field. We were 6-5, playing Pitt in a battle for 4th & 5th place in the Coastal and Al Golden couldn't find a series or two for Ryan Williams, who was a local kid that was popular in the locker room. I see "some" similarities here. For what its worth.

NO! NO! NO! Only way I'd give Rosier playing time on Saturday for senior day, is if we're up big and he comes in for some mop up duty. He's had his chances to be the starting QB and was unable to keep the spot. No reason to give him a token start in front of QB's who are better than him. 1 guy is not bigger than the program. We're not running a charity here. Sorry, not sorry!

Nobody in that locker room is pulling for Rosier to get pity snaps. I think winning takes priority over any senior getting on the field. If they're up by 30, empty the bench. Otherwise play to win.

The big difference there is that Williams was popular in the locker room, Rosier doesn't seem to be held in that regard.
 
I’m tired of the defense starting off the games so sh*tty, pitt does a lot of misdirection which can fool a Manny Diaz coached defense so I’m worried about that. I hope We continue to build on the offense and expand even more

He was harping on the same thing last year claiming Shirreffs should start on senior day.

That should have no bearing on him getting time.

The variable that does factor in is that Rosier has played a fair amount this year. Ryan Williams did not touch the field in 2014. For that reason Im not as concerned about Rosier getting a ceremonial series or two. But again, popularity should not be a factor in celebrating a kid's decision to sign with, and commit his college career to UM.

After this disastrous season, we could end it with a beat down on newly ranked pitt for a ranked win and win the bowl game to go 8-5 on the season

Ha! We'd be the most savage team in the history of the sport if I were head coach.

We'd also lose every game as I was a soccer & baseball player. But again, the most savage 0-12 team EVER. :angry:
 
Pitt. They have a decent team and coach. We have jackchit, especially in offensive coaching. The defense will play well, but it won’t be enough.
