The road game at Clemson is big. Win that and UM should not only be ranked, but should be in the top 20.
And either way, what a great start to the conference season. I still think if UM goes .500 in conference, they will make the NCAA tourney. Well, 4-0 is as good as it gets after 4 games.
I agree that .500 in the conference is the goal, especially before the season. Even though we didn't know how good Miami would be nor how good the rest of the conference is.
Now, after two months of watching Miami and the rest of the ACC, were know both are easily better than last season. Maybe even the best conference in the country.
Before conference play started, every ACC team had a winning record with 12 or the 18 teams having 10 or more wins. That's a huge improvement compared to last season.
It's too early to know for sure but it feels like the ACC could get anywhere from 8 to 12 teams in the NCAA tournament. Depending on how many teams are around .500 after March.
As far as Miami, 10 conference wins in 18 conference games definitely gets them into the NCAA tournament. If you wanted to have a strategy on how to get to 10 wins, you would say go 6-3 at home and 4-5 on the road, maybe even 7-2 at home and 3-6 on the road.
With all that being said, Coach Jai has exceeded expectations and now you look at the Clemson game as another big test to understand how good this team really is.
Honestly, I think it's a very winnable game.
Mind you, Clemson is 15-3 and 5-0 in the ACC.
It feels good to feel good about Miami's chances of winning this game.
