Texas Tech absolutely trounces BYU
Bama beats UGA

The committee would have a direct Miami vs ND discussion. No pools. No tiers. No buffer. One to one.

Texas Tech and Bama are the big ones obviously, but throw Army over Navy and Duke over Virginia into the ideal weekend basket too.

As ridiculous as it sounds UNLV beating Boise State would also help by way of hurting ND's SoS and SoR.

Don't trust this committee at all can't give them any leg to stand on to put ND over us.

We want JMU and N Texas to win as well. JMU’s only loss = Louisville; N Texas’ only loss = USF. It further traps the committee into not having logical outs against us as they reward USF as a quality loss and don’t care about JMU’s loss to Louisville like they care about our loss to them

I’ve been pretty pessimistic about this whole process since the start thinking there’s no way they put us in.

But after tonight, it’s the first time I’ve been somewhat optimistic about our chances. I think they’re hearing the noise / feeling the pressure of having ND in while keeping us out. And that’s why they moved ND one spot closer to us. Even their rationale for moving Bama ahead made zero sense. They beat a 5-7 team by a touchdown, and they liked their 4th down gutsy call? I think it’s setting up the scenario we’re all saying (ie BYU loses, moving us to 11th right next to ND, at which point they can’t ignore the H2h.).

PS. I realize I’m setting myself up for huge disappointment come Sunday when either (a) BYU beats TT and this is all moot or (b) they still keep ND at 10 and us at 11 being first team out.

They don’t give logic. They’ve given 3 different answers to our H2H scenario while honoring H2H in every other matchup in the rankings

They moved bama in front of ND so that if they lost they could be penalized and drop a spot but still be in the playoff. It had nothing to do with Miami.
