If he knew when did he havan epiphany? I ask because he took foot off of throat v ND
That game should have e been 34-13
Florida State….that game should have been 42-10

We are not catching/passing OU without them losing. Period. We’re almost certainly not catching/passing bama without them losing. BYU has by far the hardest potential game. Texas tech in the Big 12 championship. I put zero stock into that “conf champ games can’t hurt you” bull****. If Texas tech beats BYU 37-10, they’re dropping. It’ll be far harder to catch OU and Bama. We need them to lose or we can’t get higher than 11. Oregon is probably in this boat too. Someone has to lose beyond just BYU.

If byu gets to the championship game and beats TT then both those teams are in.

You're being obtuse; clearly, he has seen and heard the conversation. and I'd be really surprised if we don't see an amped up team vs VT.

My only argument against it is that BYU losing would likely be enough to jump us above Utah too, since they're where they are because of their "good losses" (BYU and TTU).

So.. BYU losing could give us two spots for the price of one. Hopefully BYU and Oklahoma both lose. We'd likely be a lock to make it at that point.

We are +300 to make the playoff right now.

If OU and BYU both lose Saturday and we win, we’ll be even money.

We have to win decisively though in both vatech and Pitt games. I am not expecting us to sneak into the acc title game with all that has to happen but just hoping for the best. Hopefully we can still get an at large bid to playoff without winning the acc title. Go canes!

Miami no longer controls its own fate. Well, they do if they lose. Then it's over no matter what. But even winning both games significantly, our game control isn't going to increase so much that we'd jump over Bama at 10, ND at 9, or OU at 8, or Oregon at 7, without them losing.

Our ceiling is #11 without help.

This is kind of year an Auburn could beat Bama and a couple other teams ahead of us lose still. Nothing is certain it seems. You just never know.

We need the offense to dominate

Committee knows our defense is playoff caliber. We’ve been relying on them to turn close first half games into blowouts with turnovers

Then we get fancy on offense when it’s over

I get the final score part and all but everyone knows how we are getting there right now is sketchy

Being up 14-7 against Stanford near the end of the 3rd quarter and they had the ball

We’ve faced two horrific defenses in a row and 3 of 4 and our defense had to pick up the offense every single time

We gotta get right quick and hopefully some of the guys getting healthy will help
